The next day, I had my bath, changed my clothes and went to Leo's house. He saw me and he smiled. Alisha was there and he wanted me to sit down. I was angry but I did. I sat down and I started crying. He wanted to hug me but I slapped him.
"How could you Leo? I thought we were besties" I said as Leo was speechless "Oh! You thought that I wouldn't find out? You're the worst' I added
"What are you talking about?" Leo said
"Oh stop this cock-and-bull act. Your conversation with Alisha yesterday I heard everything" I said
"You were eavesdropping?" Leo said as I felt rage inside of me
"How could you?" I said as Alisha stood up
"Enough! Fine I will tell you what happened. Leo and I are friends he broke up with his girlfriend because he still had feelings for you so he called you and he taught you did not like him so he begged me to act like his girlfriend to make you jealous. Then, he wanted you to move in with him so he arranged the robbery and he thought he betrayed you. So when he asked me yesterday about the matter, he thought someone revealed our secret. So, Leo really likes you" Alisha said
"What? You guys toyed with my emotions? You tried to deceive me? How dare you Leo?" I said
"Kaylee" Leo said as he looked at me and I ran out.
I took the next bus to Evan's house and I told him everything. About the betrayal from Leo.
"Why are you crying Evan?" I asked
"Kaylee, I want to tell you that I would always love you to the end. I just found out I have brain cancer with only 2 years to live" Evan said as I couldn't believe my ears
"Evan. Tell me your joking" I said bursting into tears. I couldn't believe my ears. My whole world was crashing down.
"Kaylee, I really love you and I would keep loving you till the end please never forget about me" Evan said as he coughed
"No Evan. Please. What about us? Mike? Mrs Anonymous?" I said as I was crying
"I still have two years" Evan smiled "So I would make everyday count with you" Evan said as he coughed again. I felt like fainting
"Promise me something" Evan said
"Anything" I said crying
"That you would never forget about me" Evan said
"I promise with every breathe I take" I said as I hugged him "Did the doctor give you any medications?" I asked
"Yes that is to keep me healthy and at least stop it from increasing before I eventually die" Evan said
"No you won't die" I said
"But you know I will" Evan said as I was silent. I hugged him
"Can I ask you something?" Evan said
"Anything babe" I said
"If I die would you go to Leo?" Evan asked as I feel down and cried
"Babe, even if you die right now I would never forget you, talk more of leaving you" I said
"It's okay babe, let us not spend my remaining years crying. Let us get food" Evan said
"Let's pray. Please" I said
"Okay but wipe your tears" Evan said
