We finally finished moving and then we arrived at our new house. It was a big and luxurious house with five large bedrooms with a bathroom and dressing area inside each rooms. It had a huge backyard with a garden at one end and a big pool with a little lounge at the other end and in the middle was a footpath. The house was really beautiful. In the evening, we finally settled in. After I had a shower, I went to Evan's room and sat next to him.
" Hey hun" Evan said
"Hi" I said
"What's wrong" Evan asked me as I started crying
"Am worried about us. It's five months out of the 24 months you were meant to live and we are still just dating. What about marriage and kids. I want it with you" I said
"I understand but don't rush it" Evan said
"Don't you want to hold your child before you know.." I said
"I do Kaylee but are you sure you are ready for marriage?" Evan asked me
"Of course" I said as Evan looked at me
"Then let's do it" Evan said as he stood up from the bed and grabbed something from his drawer and knelt on one knee.
"I wanted to do this later but I guess we do it now. Baby, I really love you and I would be the happiest man in the world if you stay with me, my remaining months as my wife. Will you marry me?" Evan asked as I cried and hugged him
"Yes. I will" I said as he placed the ring on my finger and I hugged him.
"Thank you Bae. I love you so much" Evan said as I hugged him again
"I love you so much" I said as I saw the ring and then I remembered the ring. I once saw it on Instagram. He got a 17 carat diamond ring. It was so expensive.
"No way is this a 17 carat diamond ring" I said as I jumped in excitement
"I saved for the best ring for my best girl" Evan said as I hugged him tightly and he smiled.
"Let's tell the others" I said
"Of course but let it be tomorrow at dinner. W e can go to an expensive diner here. Bills on me" Evan said as I smiled and hugged him
"Sure why not" I laughed
"Can't wait for the wedding" Evan said
"Same" I said
"Okay so how was your fun day with Hana" Evan said
"Great. We are now friends and I met her best mate and we told each other our stories and now I made a call to my ex best mate and am meeting her really soon" I said
"You mean Rene?" Evan said
"Yeah. Rene" I said
"Be careful" Evan said
"I will" I smiled
"So what do you want to do?" Evan smiled
"Why haven't you been going to work babe" I said
"I work from home now" Evan said
"Oh and you never told me" I said
"I never thought I should but am deeply sorry" Evan said
"Forgiven" I smiled
"Thank you princess" Evan laughed
"It is so crazy that you make almost a fortune a month but you don't show off" I said
"I like to humble myself. I mean it is a big deal to make 35 thousand pounds each month but I don't like showing it" Evan smiled
"Tell me truth, who got me my Porsche because Mike did not give it to me" I said
"Fine. It was me" Evan smiled
"I knew it" I laughed
"Where's your Rolls?" I said
"Repair shop and I have something to tell you" Evan said
"What?" I asked
"Am moving out because I bought a new apartment" Evan said
"No. You will be so far away" I said
"So bae but I have to. I can't live with my best mate and fiancée" Evan said
"True" I said
"Will you visit?" I asked
"Yes I prom-" Evan said as he started jerking and I screamed. He was having a seizure. Then Mike came in to hold him while mom was praying and I called an ambulance.
FEW MOMENTS LATER
"Hey Miss. Evan is okay and stable now as his seizure was due to the tumor's effect on the brain" The nurse told mom
"Okay but I thought his medications were to help reduce or cancel the seizures" Mom said
"Well, it seems that he missed his medications but the old one that were prescribed to him will be renewed and a set of new ones will be assigned to him if you can just wait at the waiting area, the doctor will call you in and tell you everything" The burse said
"Okay thank you but can we see him now" Mom asked
"Sure why not?" The nurse said as mom told us what the nurse said and we all entered his room.
"Stay strong buddy" Mike said as his mom sat down next to him and cried
"Evan, please son hang in there for me and your loved ones" Mom said as they both looked at me
"You need some time with him?" Mike asked s I nodded and they both left the room. I sat down on a chair next to his bed and then I hugged him
"Baby, don't leave me. You just gave me an engagement ring. I love you. Hang in there and take your medications. That is why this all happened. Why didn't you take them by the way?. Well, I will always pray for you and I believe GOD will heal you because I know He will. One of my favourite saying from a Nigerian pastor I really like is that what GOD cannot do, does not exist. He can do miracles and heal you because He is GOD" I said as hugged him again and laid down next to him.
Few hours later, Evan woke up and touched my hands and I looked at him and hugged him.
"Don't leave me" I cried as Evan looked sad
"I wont, I promise" Evan said
"Thanks" I smiled
