"Ongsa didn't mean to act rude, Sun."

"Yeah? But, Tinh. She's such a pain in the ass."

"She told you exactly the truth, Sun. You two never talked back then in school." Tinh's voice dropped. "But the thing is, I'm sure she didn't mean to judge you whatsoever. Ongsa is an introverted kid. Like, though she changed physically, she's still Ongsa anyway."

She's still Ongsa?

Sun felt a wave of melancholy wash over her as she realized that she didn't even know Ongsa at all, not even in the slightest. It was a disappointing thought to her, considering how much she wished she could connect with her better and truly understand her.

Sun sighed yet once again. She held her phone tightly. That night, she decided to give Tinh, her high school friend at S-TAR, Ongsa's close friend, a phone call just to validate her feeling.

"Sun. Let us talk to Ongsa." The voice changed into a girl's. "It's Charoen. Tommorow we will be meeting Ongsa. We'll surely tell her about this. Please don't get mad. Last time I checked, you're so scary when you're angry."

"Chai. I'm afraid she'll come to our faculty tommorow just to let her anger out."

They chuckled softly.

"I'm sorry, guys. You don't have to do that." Sun sat on the couch to calm herself.

"Do you need a bottle of holy water to calm yourself down there, Sun?"

"Charoen!!! Still?" Sun finally laughed a little.

"I think you need to splash the damn holy water on Ongsa's face tommorow, Charoen." Tinh added. "Sun, we're also curious actually, why were you so adamant to know why you two never talked in the past?"

Sun hugged the pillow tightly, thinking about the simple question asked of her. She couldn't answer it. However, Ongsa's short sentence clearly rang in her ears, right through into her deepest memory.

I don't think of you, Sun.

What an ass. Ongsa. You were so cruel. Regardless. Her frustration echoed in her own mind.

But maybe Ongsa was right after all. Why did it bother her?

"I don't know, guys. I was just trying to have a basic conversation."

"I see. Maybe it wasn't your lucky day after all." Tinh replied.

"Mai bpen rai. We promise we'll talk to her." Charoen added. "We think she should apologize, regardless. Now calm yourself, okay ka?"

"Thank you, Charoen, Tinh. I'm sorry that I had to disturb you two."

"I'm sorry. I can not accompany you. I still have remaining exam to deal with this week." Mint caressed his girlfriend hand softly. "You know, I have to pass this with the best score to be able to get the spotlight in Dr. Prat's class.

"It's fine. I already asked Kongkwan to accompany me."

"You trust me, right?"

"Huh? What do you mean?"
