That particular Saturday night was finally here, and Sun found herself deep in thought about the Sun pondered her outfit for the evening, eager to impress at the trendy underground bar where Ongsa had invited her to a band event. Worried about the potential awkwardness of wearing the wrong attire, she stood before the mirror for a final assessment.
She had chosen a cropped white t-shirt, layered it with an oversized flannel shirt for a casual touch, and paired it with relaxed blue jeans that balanced comfort and style. Satisfaction washed over her as she confirmed she had adhered to the 'unwritten dress code' she sensed was appropriate for the occasion. A wide grin spread across her face as she admired her look.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang, snapping her out of her thoughts. Sun rushed to answer the door, her heart racing with anticipation. After taking a deep breath to calm her excitement, she opened the door to find Ongsa, composed as always. In Ongsa's hand was a beautiful bouquet of sunflowers that immediately captured Sun's attention.
"Hey," Sun said, her eyes fixed on the tall girl standing before her, taking in every detail of her appearance.
Ongsa was dressed in a dark gray oversized band t-shirt that perfectly matched her laid-back style, along with baggy dark blue jeans that added to her effortlessly cool look. On her feet, she sported a pair of Air Jordan shoes that completed the outfit flawlessly. Sun couldn't help but chuckle at the sight; it was so quintessentially Ongsa. However, there was something a little different about her tonight. Ongsa was wearing vintage round glasses that framed her face nicely.
Sun recalled that Ongsa had recently undergone LASIK treatment, which meant that the glasses were clearly just a stylish accessory rather than a necessity. Additionally, Ongsa's long hair appeared neater than usual, giving her an air of polished charm that Sun found intriguing.
"Hey. For you." Ongsa handed the flower.
"Aw. Thanks, Ongsa." Sun smiled widely. "Sunflower?"
"To symbolize my adoration."
Sun froze.
"My adoration to the flowers."
"Oh really?"
"Of course not. I'm kidding."
"Then an adoration to what exactly?"
"To the other than the sunflower."
"Ongsa..."
Sun bit her lips in annoyance, yet she appreciated Ongsa's way of handling it. Ongsa casually patted her head and chuckled, which was irritating, but Sun found it hard to resist.
"I'm sorry." Ongsa smiled. "To simbolize my adoration to you, Sun. Sun Prawtawan Ampanlert. You look gorgeous tonight."
The sun melt yet once again.
"Thank you ka." Sun replied courtly. She experienced an internal panic. "Are we ready to go?"
"Are you?"
"Yeah."
"Okay. Then let's go."
Sun had just finished carefully arranging the vibrant flowers that Ongsa had presented to her on the living room table, ensuring each bloom was perfectly positioned to enhance the beauty of the space. As she completed this task and turned around, she was greeted by the sight of Ongsa, whose hand was outstretched in a welcoming gesture, a friendly invitation that brought a smile to Sun's face.
