"Sun."
The friendly and cheerful voice greeted Sun's ears softly. She turned her head, and found Moon standing behind her. Her face looked a little playful as she patted Sun's shoulder. With an equally bright smile, Sun returned the smile.
"Hey. Moon." Sun replied. "What's up?"
"Just wondering if you're busy after class?"
"Not really. Why?"
"Would you mind to accompany me to go to some places in town?" Moon asked. "I mean, it's been a while since I moved here in Bangkok, but I really want to visit some places."
Sun stunned for a moment.
"Today?"
"Yes."
"Is Ongsa supposed to pick you up?"
"Aw that girl." Moon chuckled. "I told her I have a full class today and go straight home after. Hope she won't find out though."
"Why would you lie though? You can just tell her, or ask her?"
"She's being weird lately."
"How?"
"Overprotective, I must say."
"Whoa." Sun froze. It was the jealousy tried to cover her up. "Maybe she just doesn't want you to get lost after all. You're new here." Sun smiled lightly.
"So?"
Sun stared at Moon intently. She didn't have any schedule that afternoon, and honestly, she felt so curious to get to know Moon better. She realized that they both loved the same person, Ongsa, but that didn't mean she had to hate the girl. She didn't want to sow hatred toward someone she didn't know well, and winning Ongsa's heart shouldn't be about a dirty fight.
"Take my hand!"
They laughed at each other.
"What an honor to have a little date with the most popular girl in the faculty."
"Whoa. That's a bit too much." Sun shook her hand. "I see you gained a lot of attention as well. If it's not because of you dating Ongsa, I believe you'd be more popular than you are right now."
Moon laughed. She looked so pretty, but also so pale today, Sun wondered.
"In fact, I'm not dating Ongsa though." Moon stated. "Well, not officially."
"Huh?"
"It's a long story. Let's get to know about each other more, Sun?"
"Sure. Over ice cream?"
"Which flavor you like?"
"Mint chocolate."
"Aw! I hate it." Moon shook her head, disagreeing. "I like cookie flavor."
"Why would you hate it?"
"It tastes like a toothpaste."
"Only the chosen ones could get the taste."
They shared another laughter. Hand in hand, they both walked towards the parking lot. That afternoon, Moon asked Sun to accompany her to visit an accessory shop and a cute cafe in the Siam area. Since her arrival in Bangkok, she had always liked Sun who was warm, friendly, intelligent and of course, charming.
