"Should I be your girlfriend then?"

Ongsa grinned, teasing the girl who had been her loyal friend since she arrived in the country. Slowly, she put her arm on the girl's shoulder, staring at her closely from a close distance.

"You don't even like girls, or do you?"

"You're actually right." Moon replied. "Well, I might just need to try, right? Kinda tired of with all these stupid men, so I'd probably take my chance to get you."

"Ouch." Ongsa pressed her chest as if she got shot, while Moon's chuckle intensified. "You're putting me as your secondary choice is never on my bingo card, and will never. I won't allow that, Ms. Charoensuk."

"There's always the one who, you know, being the only exception."

"Saying all that with your chest after placing me below those stupid men?"

Moon burst out laughing, leaving Ongsa still staring at her blankly. A moment later, Moon's eyes softened, her laughter turned into a smile that gave sweetness to the audience—Ongsa, and time seemed to stop turning for the geeky girl.

Wondering why do I always fall for the popular girl? But who doesn't? Ongsa mumbled. She kept the door so tightly so not even a little voice could be leaked from inside her head.

"Ongsa."

"Hmmm?"

"I never stated that I don't like girls, though."

"I think so. You just always date the guys. So—"

"So, that means nothing. And don't speak on behalf of me."

"I'm sorry."

Moon hugged her from the side, and Ongsa's mind was in a mess.

"What if one day we become girlfriends, though?" Moon glanced at her, face full of smile.

"What kind of girlfriend would you be I wonder? I mean, you're smart, kind and funny as a friend, but wondering what kind of girlfriend you are actually?"

Ongsa smiled faintly to react.

"I was once dated a guy. A senior in my high school."

"But you didn't love him though."

"Yeah."

"Then, have you ever thought about what kind of girlfriend you would be?"
