"She said that?"

"Yeah. She said that. Just that."

"Ongsa is really secretive indeed." Kongkwan said. "Honestly, I never talked much with her during high school. I remember once I asked Tinh and Charoen about it, but they didn't spill any drops. Not even a little."

"If she doesn't want to tell, then let her be. Totally understand it."

Sun folded her arms tightly across her chest, her eyes darting around the room, scanning her surroundings with quick glances. She appeared visibly uncomfortable, and the anxious energy radiating from her clearly prompted her friends to start questioning what exactly was troubling her. They exchanged concerned looks, each silently wondering if they should ask her what was wrong.

After a moment of this tension-filled silence, her phone suddenly rang, breaking the uneasy atmosphere. The caller ID displayed the name Mint, causing a slight shift in Sun's demeanor as she prepared to answer the call.

"Baby—Hey, why so noisy? Where are you?"

"I'm at the bar. Didn't I tell you?"

"You did. But didn't I tell you not go to the party?"

"You did? I didn't read that. I'm sorry."

The guy on the line sighed deeply.

"Baby, I told you not to come since there's an event held by another university as well. I don't want you to engage since they can be very alcoholic."

"Thanks for your concern, but I'm good. I'm with the girls, and I'm—"

"If I said no, then it's a no, love." He insisted. "You should not go without me. And think about your reputation. You're the head of faculty in your class. What will they say if they know you're attending this kind of event?"

"For God sake, Milk. I'm here just to have some fun. And I will not—"

"You should listen to—"

"Stop interrupting my words." Love seemed furious. "You can't rule me like that, beside I know how to take care of myself, and if you really care much about reputation, you should be focusing on yourself then. Cause we probably not on the same page here."

"Why are you being so difficult lately?"

"I'm always like this, Mint. And if you're excuse me, I need to cut this line before you ruin my mood totally."

Sun decided to put the phone on airplane mode, shutting off all notifications as she took a deep breath, hoping to clear her mind of the chaos surrounding her. Her friends gathered around her, doing their best to provide comfort and support to the girl who seemed lost in her thoughts. Even Kongkwan chimed in, suggesting that perhaps they should just go home and call it a night, but Sun felt differently. Deep down, she wanted to stay there a bit longer, to soak in the atmosphere and find some peace amidst the turmoil, rather than returning to the comforts of home just yet.

"Sun, are you okay?"

"I am. But it's totally over, I think."

"You're breaking up with him?" Vee asked.

"She'd better be." Kongkwan chuckled. "Imagine ruling Sun like that."
