(22 BBY)Smacking my lips together for the thousandth time in ten minutes I removed my eyes from the screen in front of me. By the Force this was boring! Why did I have to be grounded on Coruscant? While the question floated around my head I harshly rubbed my hands down my face attempting to wake myself back up.
The Wolfpack had been gone for two days now. Our battalion had been put on leave for at least a week until I was properly healed. But of course I was now, a few more hours in the bacta tank did wonders for my thawing joints. And now I was itching to get out there again, my men were very much the same. Just because I was grounded didn't mean they had to be, so I sent them off as the back up that Master Plo had requested. However, without them here with me I had become bored, plain and simple.
Snapping myself out of my daze I sat upright in my chair once more, purposefully widening my eyes so I would concentrate. Of course, that will only last an hour at most. I continued to scan through all the outgoing ships from the main port. One caught my eyes.
'Commander Cody and Captain Rex set to depart for inspections of clone operated outposts.'
I hummed, furrowing my brows together. That didn't sound too taxing... A plan started to formulate in my head. I'm sure I'd be allowed to go out on an inspection mission. I just wasn't permitted on a battlefield just yet needing apparent rest.
Pressing my lips in a firm line I stood up from my seat, and swiftly left the room hoping none of the other species milling around the space would notice my absence. As calmly as I could I made my way to where their ship was set to depart in around an hour, it took around half that time for me to get there.
