A/n: For this chapter there is a bit of a time skip. Hostage Crisis, the last episode of Clone Wars season one that this chapter is replacing, takes place in between episodes eight and nine of season three. Now! I thought about postponing this chapter until then but I've decided against that for two reasons! One: because I want to one hundred percent complete season one, and two: because I thought it would be fun to give you guys a little peek into the future! After this chapter I'll be moving onto season two and back on track, timeline wise. Once we get to where this chapter chronologically fits in, I'll move it there and remove this author note so this sneak peek is special to those who are reading this before then. You're welcome in advance. ;)

Jedi Knight Y/n L/n has been invited to attend a party on the pleasure world of Zeltros. With Mace Windu unable to attend, Ahsoka Tano plans to attend in his place.
But the invite occurs at an unfortunate time for all.

"Let me get this straight. You're taking my Padawan from me, not to mention the war effort, and travelling halfway across the galaxy to go to some party held by some guy you used to know?" Anakin asked, his frowned stare staying on me as we walked down the hall. I smiled at him, pretending to think over his question.
"Yes." I responded, watching the small smile form on Rex's face. He hadn't spoken, just quietly walked by Anakin's side as we made our way through the halls of the temple.
The three of us had just come from a meeting in one of our various meeting rooms. It was short but sweet, Master Windu informing Anakin that Ahsoka and I were to attend a party on Zeltros. The King passed away not long ago and his son was now being crowned, hence the large party in celebration. My former Master and I received invitations due to being close with the family years ago, but he couldn't attend so I had asked Ahsoka if she wanted to accompany me instead.
