Grievous in retreat.

Before the battleship Malevolence could destroy an Outer Rim clone medical base, a Republic strike force under the command of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker crippled the warship, disabling its dreaded ion cannon.

Now the Jedi relentlessly pursue the Malevolence.

The sigh I let out upon settling down in my starfighter once more was heavy. My medical had come back clean, the droid who attended to me just telling me to take it a bit easier than I normally would. Getting deprived of oxygen from floating in the vacuum of space wasn't something a human like myself could recover from overnight. Who knew?

"Are you okay?" R7's worried beeps met my ears, forcing my eyes to lift.

"I'm fine." I reassured him, smiling gently at him as he whined unsure whether to believe me or not. "They gave me a clean bill of health. We're all good to meet up with the fleet." I told him, starting up my ship's engine. Listening happily to the hum of everything powering up.

"I get to say I told you so if you collapse." R7 chimed, making me shake my head despite the chuckle that left my mouth.

"Yes, yes, you can say I told you so." I replied, flicking the switch for my canopy to lower. I was practically itching to get back out there. Deep down I knew I wanted to watch that ship burn for what it did to my cruisers, and my men. But it wasn't a feeling I wished to address for long enough to wonder where it had come from. Revenge was never an act Jedi should submit to.

Blinking myself out of my daze, I gently began to lift off the ground, the engines humming as I hovered above the ground. Carefully I manoeuvred my way out of the medical station's hangar, zipping off into open space.

Glancing down at my scanners showing that the three Republic cruisers were dead ahead of me, the large dot in front of them being the Malevolence. Since I was in a starfighter there was no doubt that I couldn't easily catch up to the fleet and join them on their hunt. Anakin and Master Plo were already aboard one of the cruisers.
