"So, when does this start being fun?" Todoroki asked skeptically, handing the bottle of vodka to me.
I snorted a laugh at the question. Leave it to Todoroki to call Uraraka out on her bullshit.
The brunette in question pouted at him, already a few shots deep and fading fast. "Are you not having fun, Todo?"
I took a swig from the bottle and passed it on to Hitoshi. "Oh, Todo, you're gonna make her cry."
I watched in amusement as Todoroki's eyebrows shot up, the liquor already loosening him up. "Don't cry, I was kidding. I'm having fun, I promise," he rushed out.
Uraraka's misty eyes were gone in a second, a beaming smile taking over her face. "Yay!"
Todoroki sat back with a huff, his eyes wide and terrified, as if he just avoided a catastrophic event. Uraraka crying really should have been classified as one.
"Wait, wait, wait," Ashido suddenly spoke up, her words already starting to slur together. I wasn't expecting her to be such a lightweight, but I guess she was full of surprises. "This trip has been about showing me your guys' lives before you moved, but I still don't even know how you all met!"
"We don't have to go over all that," I said, a little hesitantly. It wasn't that I was embarrassed about how we met, but I was a little embarrassed of who I was before we met and that was an integral part of the story.
"Oh!" Uraraka exclaimed, her eyes bright and excited, even through the alcohol's haze. "Izuku's gotta tell the story, he's the backbone of the whole group!"
"Izuku does not want to tell the story," I grumbled, making grabby hands at the bottle Hitoshi still held. He handed it back to me without a second thought, earning a disgruntled noise from Todoroki, who was supposed to get it next. Oh well, if I was going to be storytelling, I got the bottle.
Uraraka did her stupid fucking puppy dog eyes, batting her lashes at me. "Please?"
I groaned, taking another swig and relishing in the way it burned my throat. "Met Toshi first. He transferred to my old school at the beginning of ninth grade. He was all depressed and emo, and I was depressed and emo, so I talked to him."
Hitoshi chuckled at my shitty retelling. "He didn't believe me when I first agreed to be his friend and made me pinky promise that I was serious."
Ashido had a moment of realization, her face lighting up. "Is that why you two do that weird pinky promise thing all the time?"
Uraraka vigorously nodded her head, taking it upon herself to answer. "Yup, they've done it for as long as I've known them."
"Who was next?" Ashido asked, completely invested in the story. She leaned her elbows on the arm of the other couch so she could be closer to me.
"Todoroki," I answer, nodding toward the teen. "He also moved to our school in ninth grade. Was a huge loner and wouldn't talk to anyone. Toshi and I wore him down eventually."
"You started to follow me around until I talked to you," he deadpanned, holding his hand out for the bottle. I begrudgingly let it go.
"I had to get you to crack somehow!"
He raised one brow in my direction, swallowing a mouth full of vodka before responding. "So you chose stalking?"
"It worked, didn't it?"
He raised the bottle in a toast, as if to say touche, and took another swig.
"Then we met Ura," I continued, being cut off by a squeal from the brunette. "Met her at a county fair the summer after ninth grade. She threw up on the tilt-a-whirl and I bought her a water."
