Yena, Taehyung, and Jimin sat around the large table with others in the meeting room, each with a stack of documents and laptops open in front of them. The atmosphere was professional, but the underlying tension was palpable. They were discussing the details of the upcoming jewelry project that required precise planning and coordination.
Jimin began the meeting by outlining the creative vision for the project. "So, based on our previous discussions, we've decided on a theme that revolves around the four seasons. Each piece will represent a different season, incorporating specific gems and designs that capture the essence of spring, summer, autumn, and winter."
Yena nodded, her mind only half on the project as she kept a discreet watch on Taehyung and Jimin. "That's a brilliant concept, Jimin," she said, forcing a smile. "For spring, we could use emeralds and pink sapphires to represent the rebirth and blooming of flowers."
"Agreed," Jimin replied, jotting down notes. "For summer, I was thinking of using rubies and yellow diamonds to symbolize the warmth and vibrancy of the season."
Taehyung chimed in, "And for autumn, we could use orange topaz and citrines to capture the falling leaves and golden hues."
Yena noticed that every time Taehyung and Jimin spoke, they exchanged subtle, meaningful glances. It was as if they were communicating something beyond the scope of the project. Her suspicions grew with each passing moment, but she tried hard not to let it distract her.
"For winter," Yena continued, trying to stay focused, "we could use blue sapphires and white diamonds to represent the cold and the purity of snow."
"Perfect," Jimin said, a genuine smile lighting up his face. "Now, about the project cost and budget, Taehyung?"
Taehyung looked at his laptop, his fingers typing quickly. "I've analyzed the cost estimates for the materials and production. Given the scope of this project, we need to ensure that our budget aligns with our creative ambitions. We'll also need to factor in marketing and promotional expenses to ensure a successful launch."
Yena couldn't help but notice how Taehyung and Jimin continued to exchange those secretive looks. It was becoming increasingly clear that they were hiding something, something that they didn't want her to know. She felt a knot of anger and hurt tightening in her chest, but she maintained her composure.
As the meeting drew to a close, Yena stood up, gathering her files. "Now I think I should leave you guys alone, and I'll take my leave," she said, her voice steady but her heart pounding. She turned and walked out of the room, leaving Taehyung and Jimin behind, both looking puzzled by her abrupt departure.
"What happened to her, and what's she saying?" Jimin asked, turning to Taehyung.
Taehyung shook his head, frustration evident in his expression. "How would I know? She's been acting strangely since yesterday."
Jimin glanced towards the door Yena had just exited. "Is it because she came to know about that thing?"
Taehyung's eyes widened slightly, a flicker of panic crossing his face. "How would she know? It's not even that big of a deal. But I think, before she gets to know about it, I have to do something about it."
Jimin nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Whatever it is, make sure you handle it carefully. We can't afford any complications right now."
Taehyung sighed, feeling the weight of his double life pressing down on him. "I know. I'll figure something out."
After Yena and the other colleagues had left the meeting room, Taehyung waited until the door clicked shut behind them. He turned to Jimin, frustration evident in his eyes.
