You and your assistant, Minji, were seated in your office at Vista, working on finalizing the sketching process and designs for your upcoming launch. This was the task to be solely handled by your team under Jimin's supervision. You handed her a file. "Send this to Taehyung's office. We need their input before we finalize everything."
Minji nodded in agreement, her eyes scanning the sketches with a critical eye. "These are beautiful, Ma'am. I think we're almost there."
She hesitated for a moment before speaking up, "Ma'am, you haven't visited that office a single time this whole week. And you haven't been formally informing them about the sketching process. Only Mr Park has visited twice. Don't you think we're not following proper professionalism for business partners?"
Her words made you pause, and you could feel her gaze on you. You knew she was right; you had avoided visiting their office, choosing instead to focus on completing the sketches before presenting them.
You glanced at her, then down at the file. "You're right," you finally said, exhaling. "I thought it would be better to have everything ready before showing it to them, but I should've been more communicative."
You sighed, feeling a bit cornered by your actions. "Take these and send them there," you said, handing the file to her. But as she turned to leave, you had a change of heart. "Stop," you called out, making her turn back. "Just go and give it yourself. I can't trust others with this."
Minji looked a bit surprised but nodded, understanding the underlying message. "Okay, ma'am," she said, taking the file.
After a productive morning at work, you decided it was time to catch up with Jin over lunch. You hadn't been able to call him for the past few days so you quickly dialed his number. "Hey dude, you free? Have time for lunch?"
Jin's cheerful voice came through the line, "Sure, I'll be there on time."
Smiling, you ended the call and grabbed your coffee, heading towards the elevator to leave for a nearby restaurant. As you were descending, you received another call, this time from a client. Engrossed in the conversation, you didn't realize you'd reached the ground floor.
Suddenly, you collided with someone. Startled, you quickly bowed and apologized without looking up.
The person you bumped into paused, seemingly recognizing you. After a few steps away, something clicked in your mind.
You turned around and, sure enough, it was him...your husband, standing there with his arms crossed, watching you with a curious expression.
You hurriedly ended the call and walked back towards him. "I'm sorry, I was busy on the phone and didn't realize it was you."
Taehyung raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips. "But I think you realized, and that's why you turned back to check."
You hesitated, then nodded, feeling a bit flustered. "That's because only you use that..." You stopped, suddenly aware of what you were about to say. It was his cologne that made you turn back.
His cologne has a calming effect on you. It's a one-of-a-kind scent made just for him, that soothes your mind and awakes your senses whenever he is near to you. It's like a warm hug in a bottle, and it's uniquely his. You cursed yourself internally for almost disclosing how much you noticed him. His smirk widened as if he had read your mind.
