26. Just Stay

Jungkook takes a sip of his drink, smiling to himself, when Jimin suddenly slams his glass down on the table, making Jungkook jump slightly.

"What do you mean, Jungkook? How could you do this to me?"

Jimin spoke with a pout, "You went to Yena's house without me!"

"But she invited us."

Jimin's grip on his glass tightened. "Us who?"

"Seokjin hyung," Jungkook replied, his tone casual.

Jimin's hands shot up to his hair, his fingers tangling in the strands. "Now who is this Seokjin hyung?"

Jungkook shrugged. "My friend."

Jimin spoke while crossing his arms, "You have friends other than us? And I haven't been to his house ever since Taehyung got married. Now you're telling me that you guys had dinner together with this Seokjin guy? Without me? I feel so left out, seriously!"

"It wasn't planned, hyung. It just happened."

As Jimin finishes his rant, the door swings open, and Taehyung walks in. He spots Jimin and Jungkook in their corner and starts making his way over. The moment Jimin sees him, his expression shifts. "Ya, Taehyung-ah! You *##&£$##*! How could you let this happen without me?!"

"Taehyung-ah... you...!" The curses that followed made Taehyung flinch, his eyes scanning Jimin's face for a reason behind the outburst.

Meanwhile, Jungkook was laughing so hard he was almost crying, holding his sides in pain. "Oh man, this is too good!"

Jungkook laughed, "Hyung, calm down! What's gotten into you?"

Taehyung looks between Jimin and Jungkook, utterly confused "What's going on? Why are you mad at me?"

"You, Taehyung, are guilty of not including me in your little dinner party! I feel so neglected!"

Taehyung sighed, now understanding the reason, "You're mad because we had dinner without you?"

Jimin nodded with a pout on his face. "Exactly."

Taehyung leans back in his seat, crossing his arms as he watches Jimin's dramatic outburst. He sighs and shakes his head before speaking up.

Taehyung points at Jungkook. "Don't blame me. That was all his doing. He and Jin went grocery shopping with her. And let me tell you, he texted me to come over to my house... like, seriously, that's my house. Jin is Yena's close friend and apparently Jungkook's too, so I don't know how this all happened. But it was all their doing. I only found out after getting home."

Taehyung's expression darkened. "And about him," he said, directing his gaze at Jungkook, "I don't know why he was having a sudden interest in my wife?"
