"Waaah...that's so endearing, perfect cinematography," you spoke, almost to yourself.Taehyung's eyes went from the TV to you and back to the TV.
"It's just a show," he muttered, but there was a softness in his voice.
You turned to look at him, a small smile playing on your lips. "Of course, I know that, but isn't it such a beautiful scene? Like, impossibly romantic? It makes you wonder if things could ever be that... perfect in real life." You spoke the last part almost in a whisper, unsure if he'd even hear you.
But he did.
It's possible
He thought to himself. His gaze lingered on you for a beat longer than necessary, searching for an answer in your eyes.
After you sensed that his eyes were on you for more than a minute, you stood up and went to the kitchen with your hand on your chest.
Gosh...what's happening with my heart? Why is it beating so fast?
Ugh, I think all that spice is finally catching up to me.
Take it easy yena,
you took a deep breath.Grabbing a bag of popcorn from the pantry, you returned to the living room, offering the bowl to Taehyung. "Here, how about some popcorn? It's a weekend tomorrow, so no rush."
After some time, A yawn escaped your lips, shattering the quiet. "Ahh, I'm getting sleepy," you mumbled. I should go now."
Taehyung glanced at you, a hint of concern in his eyes. "Yeah, it's getting late. I'll shut the TV off in a minute." In the meantime, you cleared the table.
You were excited for the weekend ahead.
_________________________________A muffled clatter from the kitchen yanked you from your sleep the next morning. You blinked away the remnants of sleep and squinted at the clock. It was barely past eight, far too early for a weekday. But then again, today wasn't a weekday. A smile tugged at your lips as you remembered – it was Saturday. You put your face in a bowl of cold water to wake you up from sleep.
The clatter came again, followed by the low murmur of someone humming a tune you didn't recognize. Curiosity piqued, and you padded towards the kitchen. The sight that greeted you was unexpected, to say the least.
Taehyung stood by the stove, clad in a pristine white apron. He was concentrating intently on a pan, spatula poised in his hand. The air hung heavy with the aroma of sizzling veggies and frying eggs.
"Taehyung, you need something?" you called out.
He whirled around, startled, nearly dropping the spatula. A blush bloomed on his cheeks as he met your gaze. "Yena! Uh, good morning."
You couldn't help but grin. "The smell of food woke me up. What are you doing?"
"Oh, well," he stammered, "I, uh, I thought I'd try making breakfast since it's Saturday and there's no work."
He gestured towards the counter, where a plate heaped with perfectly cooked breakfast awaited. You had to admit, it looked impressive.
"Wow, this looks amazing," you said, genuinely impressed. "You're a much better cook than I expected, Mr. Kim."
A hint of his usual playfulness flickered in his eyes. "Perhaps you've underestimated me, Mrs. Kim."
