A sharp pain pulsed through Taehyung’s head as he stirred awake, wincing at the sunlight streaming through the curtains.

Groaning, he pressed his palm to his forehead, trying to ease the splitting headache from the night before. Memories of drinking with Jungkook flashed in his mind—shots of whisky and finally, coming home to you. Then, the memory of the way he had spoken to you resurfaced.

His legs felt weak as he pushed himself out of bed, only to trip over the corner of the bed.

“Ahh, shibal…” he muttered under his breath.

Frustrated, he steadied himself, slipping into his slippers and making his way have a cold splash of water on his face.
After coming out of the bathroom, he went outside the room. The hallway outside his room was eerily silent, not even the soft hum of your presence lingering in the air.

Maybe she left

He thought, running a hand through his messy hair.

Curious, he crossed the hall to your room to open the door. It was empty, as he had expected. Sighing, he trudged downstairs and plopped onto the couch, his eyes falling on the table in front of him. There, neatly laid out, was a plate of breakfast and a note stuck to the table.

Raising an eyebrow, he stood up and approached the table, picking up the note.

“Taehyung, I’m sorry for yesterday.
Make sure to eat the hangover soup.”

A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips, followed by a smirk.

Maybe she hasn’t given up yet,

he mused, setting the note down and staring at the bowl of soup you had left for him.

I think it’s working,

he thought to himself, the smile lingering as he sat down to eat.

Time Skip

For the past three days after that incident, Taehyung had been avoiding you—coming home late, leaving early, and burying himself in work. You’ve already apologized then why was he ignoring you all the time?

But now, he was beginning to question whether this cold war between the two of you had gone on for too long. He could feel your absence at work, and it bothered him more than he cared to admit.

You were working from Vista instead of Kim's office, a clear effort to avoid running into him. But today, there was no escaping it—you had an important meeting scheduled at his office.

As you stepped into the conference room, Taehyung’s eyes found you, though he quickly masked his expression, keeping his focus on the papers in front of him.

The meeting passed in a blur, neither of you speaking directly to the other. Afterwards, most of the team went out of the room, leaving only you, Taehyung, Jimin, and Minji behind.

“Jimin, send this file to Vista,” Taehyung said, handing over a stack of documents. “I’ll visit there the day after tomorrow.”

Jimin glanced at him, surprised by the request. He leaned over to Minji and whispered, “Why is he giving me work for Vista?”

Minji shrugged, looking equally puzzled. “I don’t know, sir. She’s been acting strange too these past few days, avoiding coming here.”

Jimin frowned, his gaze flickering between you and Taehyung. “Did they fought again?” he whispered.

“Maybe,” Minji replied softly, her eyes glancing in your direction.

You handed a few files to Minji before she left the room.
