The repairs were well underway, given all the help that Izuku was getting. Every day, there were at least two or three or sometimes more of the heroes who showed up to assist him, thanks to Katsuki and his friends. Like the others, Katsuki couldn't be there every day, given that they all still had their hero shifts to work, but it was more than Izuku could have ever asked for.

He had been ready to bear the weight of everything himself, but his boyfriend (yes, his boyfriend!!!) ensured this wasn't the case.

Everything felt perfect. Even though much work was still to be done, he felt better than he had in a long time. Despite the messes created by life, he now had people beside him to support and help him, which is something he'd never had before. No matter what happens, things will never be like they used to be.

In the cafe, Izuku was stripping out the old, cracked floors with Kirishima and Uraraka so they could put in the new tiles he'd picked out. He kept most of the theme the same, with a few changes here and there, the black-and-white checkered tile floors being one of them. The walls would be repainted the same sage green as before, and he was opting for darker woods for the tables and chairs.

Izuku finishes the section he's working on, then sits back on his haunches as he wipes the sweat from his forehead. With the summer temperatures, the work was hard. He remembers this part all too well from the first time around with the cafe, having worked on it during the same time of year back then, too. It was hot and demanding, but that didn't deter him from working hard and fast.

Right as he's getting ready to start again, someone is coming through the door behind him. He swivels around to see Katsuki in his hero uniform, save for the gauntlets, with his mask pulled up on his forehead, pushing his hair back out of his face. It's completely noteworthy to mention the fact that Ground Zero was voted one of the sexiest heroes last year in a magazine, and even more notable, in Izuku's opinion, to point out that this was his boyfriend. His.

"Hey," Katsuki says.

"Hi!" Izuku stands up and wipes his dirtied hands on his shorts before approaching the hero. Behind him, Kirishima also gets up to greet Katsuki.

"Hey, man? How's it going?" Kirishima smiles.

"It's hot as fuck today," he says. "I'd hate to be you guys. Nothin' but purse snatchers and petty shit to deal with today."

"We're making great progress here, man!" Kirishima says, motioning to the floors.

"Thanks to all the help, it's definitely going faster than I thought!" Izuku chimes in, smiling brightly at Kirishima and Uraraka. "Thank you so much, guys."

"No problem!" Urarak says, giving him a thumbs up.

Suddenly, Katsuki grabs Izuku's arm and tugs him toward the back room of the cafe. "Izuku's taking a break," he says before closing the door behind them. Izuku lifts his eyebrows in question, but before he can ask, Katsuki's lips are on his as he presses him up against the wall. The barista lets out a surprised squeak but quickly falls into the motions of the kiss, parting his lips against the blonde's to give his tongue access. Katsuki's hands roughly grip Izuku's sides, finding the spots where his T-shirt is riding up so he can slide his hands underneath and touch his skin. Their tongues dance together as they share the sloppy kiss, and Izuku tries his best not to make any surprised sounds that might alert the others in the next room over of their activities. Every time he makes any kind of sound, Katsuki bites down on his lower lip, which only makes it harder for him to keep the noises inside.

The hero eventually pulls away and looks down at Izuku, who's been left out of breath.

"What was that for?" Izuku says with a small smile. Katsuki rests his forehead against Izuku's.
