Chapter 26
ACONITUM

Just as the Wind Hashira was engaging in a battle with Upper one, you quickly hoisted Genya in a bridal style and put him in a safe distance, away from the battle.

"Lady Tokito.."

"Please don't overexert yourself." You didn't know how to help the man in front of you. He was all diced up and his limbs were all cut off, yet he was still alive. 'Perhaps it was an effect from eating demons.' you concluded as you recalled what the Uppermoon one mentioned. You frowned a bit, not wanting to imagine how much pain he must be in right now.

You want to help him, yet you had no idea how. You put the bandage around him, trying to stop the bleeding as much as you can, ignoring the stinging pain on your shoulder and whole body. He was in a worse condition than you.

"Lady Tokito... please go help Muichiro-san...I will be fine.." Genya coughed out weakly.

You flinched, hesitating. It's not that you didn't want to help Muichiro, you really want to go and help him headfirst. You just don't have the heart to leave a severely injured person alone. Knowing this, Genya smiled admist the pain.

"I know you are worried about him, I can handle myself just fine, I won't die because I eat demons....so please go help him."

He gave you another push, you nodded.

"Please be careful..." With that you sprinted towards where Muichiro was pinned against the pillar. He was desperately trying to pull out the sword from his torso.

"Mui-kun, hang on!"

Trying not to overexert your wound from your shoulder, you immediately helped him pull off the sword. Muichiro gritted his teeth, trying to stop himself from crying out in pain. 'I had only joined the fight but I already have been rendered useless!' he scolded himself in his mind.

He fell off the pillar with a thud and you softened the blow by shielding his body with yours. "Please stay still, I will treat it!"

With that, you pulled out the sword that was stabbing through his torso, grimacing as Muichiro hissed in pain. "I am sorry, please bear it for a while." You gently whispered, pursing your lips in worry. Muichiro shakes his head, telling you not to worry about him and to continue treating his wounds without stopping. You then take out a roll of bandage from your pouch, wrapping it tightly against his wound, and tie it very carefully so it won't come off as easily.

You saw the Stone Hashira join the fight in the corner of your eyes, and you were more than relieved. 'Since Lord Himejima is here, I can take time to dress up Mui-kun's wounds...'

The two of you hurriedly dress up other wounds in your body, wrapping it tightly so the blood won't leak anymore. 'It will be a problem if I lose too much blood, I need to be strong.. I can't be defeated yet..' you encouraged yourself in your mind.

"Muichiro-san..Lady Tokito..could you help me..?"

Genya calls out, to which the two of you hurriedly went over towards him.

"Is there something wrong?"

"Are you okay?"

Genya glances at the scruff of hair on the floor not so far away from him, and you two immediately understood his message. Muichiro immediately picked it up and fed it to Genya, seeing as Muichiro got the situation covered, you stand up.

"Mui-kun, I've rested enough, I will go join the battle now." Muichiro nodded, "Be careful, (Name)."

"I will."

With that, you sprinted off.

"Finally rested enough huh, brat? It's about time." You also saw Sanemi joining in after stitching up his wounds.

"Yes! Let's do this!" You nodded, voice filled with determination.

Both you and Sanemi swing your sword at the demon, which you come from above and Sanemi from below. Himejima wasted no time in attacking as well. The Upper one hastily dodged the incoming attack from all three of you, causing the weapons to stab through the ground, creating several dents.

'I see, in all likelihood, these three make the most powerful team..' the Upper one dodged another attack and analyzed the situation. His eyes went to the Stone Hashira. 'This man, with a physique of a warrior, although he is blind, and yet perceives the movement around him with uncanny precision.'

Then to the Wind Hashira, 'His reflexes are improving...marked or not, he shouldn't be able to fight in this condition..' The Upper one concluded after he tried to break Sanemi's sword, to which the Wind Hashira acted quickly and righted his blade, forcing it back.

Lastly to you... 'Her speed and agility is commendable, perhaps the fastest Hashira I have ever encountered.. she managed to dodge my attacks for a long period of time without losing any of her limbs.' He then swings his sword which you immediately jump out of the way before plunging down at him with uncanny speed, causing him to jump away as well. You felt a warm, red liquid drip down from your forehead and cheeks.

Himejima took the opportunity to attack from behind, his big axe swinging close to the Upper one's head. This caused the demon to lash out, Sanemi hissed in pain as his two fingers were cut off. Both you and the Stone Hashira called out in worry.

Sanemi cursed inside his head. 'Damn it!! Damn it!! If Himejima hadn't switched his tactic, both of my arms would be gone!'

'I–it barely missed my neck...thank you so much, Lord Himejima!!' you shuddered, thankful for the Stone Hashira for saving your life.

You tightly gripped the sword in your hand, staring at the demon in front of you. His sword is twice as long now, with many, small blades sprouted from the edges. He swung his gigantic sword, causing damage all over the place, the three of you struggle to dodge all the incoming attacks.

'At this rate...it will be hard to get close to him..'

Meanwhile, Kanata Ubuyashiki was sweating in nervousness.

"Ki–kiriya-sama...should we send Kamado Tanjiro and Tomioka Giyuu to Upper one's location?" The girl shakily suggests, seeing the situation from the map.

"No."

"Those two will head to Kibutsuji Muzan's location. I have zero doubt that Gyomei, Sanemi, (Name), Muichiro and Genya will defeat him."
