{Devin a day later}

"𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐌𝐔𝐂𝐇 𝐅𝐔𝐑𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑?" Devin asked, looking away from the road for a second to look at Rick.

The Grimes man looked around at the trees surrounding the road and clicked his tongue. "We'll stop up ahead." He pointed at a mile marker sign.

Devin nodded and kept driving until they got to the sign. She then parked the car on the edge of Tue road before she, Rick and Morgan got out of the car. The Jones man led the way into the woods after grabbing three shovels and handing on to Rick and Devin. "Morgan." Rick spoke and the man stopped walking. "Maybe we just leave him here."

Devin's brows furrowed and she looked at the Grimes man with a confused expression. "We're not gonna bury him?" She asked, sounding surprised. Don't get her wrong, she didn't like Pete Anderson no more than the next guy. He was a real prick, but he still should get buried. Not for him but for his kids and Jessie. Devin would want her dad to have a burial if something happened to him. She imagined that the Anderson kids felt the same.

Rick looked at her, giving her an all to familiar look. That's exactly what he was suggesting. The redhead scoffed, turning away from him while Morgan sent him a disappointed look. "That's not who you are." The man shook his head before continuing to walk. "I know."

"Hey." Rick called out and Morgan looked back. "You don't." He shook his head.

The Jones man frowned. "I know that you're the guy that pretended not to notice when Devin stole your keys just so my boy could see me." Morgan then sighed, shaking his head. "Then again. . . maybe you're right. I don't know you." And with that Morgan got to work on digging a hole.

The young Philips woman sighed and tossed down her baseball bat before helping Morgan with the hole. Rick walked a few feet ahead of the two and started to listen to something in the distance.

"Morgan, Dev." He mumbled but the two ignored him and continued to dig. "Stop." He reached forward and grabbed onto Devin's shovel, causing her to stop.

"Seriously?" Devin asked annoyed as she let Rick have the shovel and crossed her arms.

Rick brought his finger to his lips. "Did you hear that?" He asked in a low voice.

Morgan and Devin quietly listened. When their ears picked up on the sound they both looked at Rick. "Come on." The Grimes man said and led the way through the woods.

When the three reached the edge of the woods they overlooked a quarry. Devin's eyes widened at the number of walkers that aimlessly walked around the quarry, no doubt drawing in more with how loud they were being. She wasn't sure she had seen that many, not even in Atlanta and that was saying a lot.

"Those Semis are the only thing keeping them in." She pointed at the eighteen wheelers that blocked each exit of the quarry.

The sound of footsteps and snarls came from a few feet away and the three looked over as Ron Anderson ran out of the woods being chased by some walkers. He was heading right towards the edge. Before he could run off though, Rick tackled him to the ground.

The walkers chasing Ron walked off the edge except for two, but Morgan and Devin quickly jumped in and killed the two.

Rick stood up and Ron looked up at the three out of breath, making Devin scoff. "You should have stayed at home, Dude." She muttered, crossing her arms. Hell, he didn't even know how to use a weapon. What the hell was he thinking?
