𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐆𝐔𝐍𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐄 caused Devin to reach over to the left of her and turn the volume down on the radio. "I was listening to that!" Trevor huffed, lifting his head up from the couch.

Devin rolled her eyes. She and Kate were currently the only two not high off their asses. Mel too, but she hadn't come out of the bathroom yet. "Shh!" She hissed, trying to listen. "Something's wrong." She muttered, walking over to the table that sat in the corner of the room underneath the basement window.

She climbed on top of it and stood on her tiptoes to see out the small window. It took a moment for her to realize what was going on, but as soon as she saw the tons of walkers in the street, she knew.

"Walkers." She whispered just loud enough the others could hear her. Quickly she hopped down from the table and made her way over to Leo. "Give me your walkie." She demanded, holding her hand out.

Leo looked at her and smiled. "What walkie?" He asked, cackling at his own question.

Devin's eyes narrowed. "How fucking high are you?"

"Uh. . ." Leo's brows furrowed. "This high." He held his arms wide apart and wiggled his fingers.

The young Philips woman scoffed. "Give me the damn walkie-talkie, now."

"Jesus." Leo muttered before handing over his walkie-talkie. "Here, mom."

The redhead rolled her eyes and looked at Eloise. "Can you get Mel?" She asked as she walked over to the couch.

Elle nodded and walked over to the bathroom door. "Mel?" She called out, knocking gently on the door. When she received no answer her heart started to race. She had a very bad feeling that something was wrong.

The blonde took a deep breath and opened the door. A scream left her throat as she got tackler to the ground. Mel snapped her teeth, growing closer to Elle's skin.

"Oh my god!" Kaitlyn shrieked as Sam, being the closet to Eloise, ran over and yanked Mel off of her.

Kai quickly ran over with a pool stick and shoved it into Mel's head, through her chin. Kate rushed over to Ellie and helped her stand up.

"What the hell happened?" Travis breathed out, running over.

"I don't know." Eloise gasped, placing her hand over her heart.

Kaitlyn shrugged, stepping into the bathroom. Her eyes landed on three empty pill bottles and her breath hitched. "She overdosed." She said, looking over her shoulder at the others.

"Let's put this over her." Leo suggested, walking over with a throw blanket in his hand. Kate moved out of his way and he laid it across Mel's body.

Suddenly the sound of glass braking upstairs filled the room followed by the sound of the groaning of the dead. "Damnit." Trevor cursed before sprinting up the stairs.

He slammed the door shut as walkers invaded the house. He turned the lock and joined the others. "What's the plan?"

Devin sighed, tightly gripping Leo's walkie-talkie. "I'll try to reach someone. . . maybe find out what the hell is goin' on."

She lifted the walkie up close to her mouth and begin trying to get ahold of someone. . . anyone.

As time passed, the redhead got more and more irritated as she paced around, walkie in hand. "Can anybody hear me? A bunch of us is trapped at Trevor's basement." She huffed, walking over to the couch and sitting down. "Dad? Rick. . . literally anyone?"

Suddenly a voice crackled through the static.

( Rick )
"Devin?"

Devin let out a relieved breath and smiled slightly. "Rick. Is Willow and my dad with you?" She asked as Sam sat down beside her.
