Cazzlyn stared at Cedar angrily. How could he keep a secret like that for thirteen years?
Cedar just looked horrified, Cazzlyn couldn't blame him.
She was going to start arguing with him, but out of nowhere the wind picked up.
"Did you do that?" he hissed at her. "You know I warned you not to use your-," he was cut off by a funnel tornado barreling towards them.
"No! I can't even-," the tornado cut into her path. Cedar began screaming for dear life.
"Get out! Get out!" he yelled. He attempted to knock her down. She tried moving out of its path, but she was frozen to the ground.
She closed her eyes as she saw the tornado coming towards her. She felt the tornado swoop her up.
The tornado had dissipated the moment she landed in it, and she landed with a hard thud. Cedar immediately rushed over to her and picked her up in his arms. Her face had drained of its color, and she was half conscious and she could barely hear out of her right ear.
Cedar put his fingers close to her eyes and held up some fingers. He readjusted her.
"How many fingers am I holding up?" His voice sounded frantic and nervous.
"Three," she replied groggily. Her mind was all foggy and her thoughts were all over the place. She coughed a few times.
"I was holding up four," he snickered. "Let's get you back home," She slipped into unconsciousness.
She woke up on a cold floor, definitely not the living quarters. It was pitch black as well. Was she back in the empire? No, she couldn't be, she had ruined it. She heard hushed voices from her left ear.
"We found the third one,"
"Element?"
"Air,"
Her eyes adjusted to the dark and she saw two kids about seventeen. A blond-haired girl was snapping her fingers anxiously. A jet black hair boy was writing something down on his palm with a pen.
Cazzlyn flipped her hair back, attempting to untangle it, and she remembered. Where the heck was Cedar?
She attempted to stand up and walk to the edge of her cell, or what she thought was a cell, but her arms were bound to the floor. She felt blood dripping from her forehead and forearm. Instead she eyed the boy and the girl suspiciously.
"I want her to rebel against them," the boy with black hair grumbled. "If it weren't for that tornado, we would've had to put up more of a fight to get her to cooperate,"
She liked that comment.
"You most likely would have gotten about seven new scars," the blond chuckled. "I kind of feel bad for the boy she was with,"
Cazzlyn's ears perked up, she wanted to ask what had happened.
"Oh him? He was easy to take care of,"
Cazzlyn finally spoke up. "Where is he?" she yelled irrationally.
Both of them turned to look at her with surprised look on their faces.
"What? You think I died?"
The black haired girl chucked. "Of course not," she walked over to Cazzlyn and eyed her. "I'm Mason,"
Cazzlyn regarded her with a glare. His eyes were ice blue like a cold sky.
"Cazz," she stated her name as well. "Where's the boy you found me with?"
Evelin smiled. "He's fine. Just in the thorne for questioning,"
"Questioning for what?"
"You." he walked over to the cell and leaned in just enough to touch her face. He dragged a dull dagger across her cheek.
"Don't worry, you. Your friend is fine," he chuckled as he unlocked her cell door, then her shackles. Her wrists felt shaky.
"Let the boy go," she glared at Ethan. "He doesn't need to be questioned,"
"He's been wanted by us for awhile, Snow," he said coldly.
She scowled, she assumed the 'Snow" nickname came from her white hair.
He smirked.
"It's nice of you to care for him," the blond girl replied sweetly. "I would-,"
"Shush, Ferna! She does not need anything else to boost her ego,"
Cazzlyn glared at both of them. "My ego's fine," she decided to start small talk. "Do you have any family back home?"
"Back home?" Ethan scoffed. "No. I left my family almost eight years ago," his expression faltered a bit. "I wish my sister was here with me, though,"
"You're not one for sympathy," Cazzlyn observed.
He chuckled. "Much more for coldness and chuckles,"
