Reylyn woke up with a start, she could hear the hushed voices of her companions from the Agitator.
"No, just keep her off of her feet for a few days," a husky voice muttered. Probably the Agitator's nurse. "That burn will hurt when she wakes up,"
Her eyes finally adjusted to the light. She was laying on a cold sheet, and her shoulder felt tight and it felt like it was burning. Someone was squeezing her hand.
"Thanks again, Alda," the brittle voice of Saif replied. "I'll keep an eye on her." His black hair was all over the place and severely messed up. His forest green eyes were red as a tomato. He had been crying.
"What's wrong with your eyes?" Reylyn nagged. "You never cry."
"Rey?" Saif shouted. "You're okay!" His face lifted up.
"Of course I am." Reylyn mumbled, raising an eyebrow.
Saif was grinning at her like she had just found a big pile of gold.
"Just because the configuration attacked me doesn't mean you got to baby me," she ordered. "I heal instantly."
"You were out for four days," Saif whispered. "Don't ever do that to me again."
"I was not out for four days!" She attempted to sit up, but her whole arm was trembling.
"Hey, take it easy, Reylyn. That burn was pretty bad," Saif gently helped her lay back down.
"What happened?"
"You got burnt by that monster that's been chasing you for months," he cleared his throat. "Then she started stating this random prophecy about you and fire,"
Reylyn raised an eyebrow. "Me and fire? What did she say?"
He began thinking. "From the spark she shall ignite, that shall invite the light, where the shadows are hidden deep, the sire of the blaze of fire shall creep,"
"Was she sick or something?" she snickered.
"No, she seemed percentant," Saif admitted. "She wouldn't stop until I listened,"
Sire of the blaze of fire shall creep. She thought. From the spark she shall ignite.
"You okay, Rey?" he asked her. "You look a little worried."
"Yeah, I'm great." She lied. "Just need to go for a tiny walk. To the fire of Ogedord."
Saif sighed. "They closed that place off a long time ago, Reylyn. It's not safe for anyone there,"
"I just have a feeling about going there," she admitted. "Like I'm being drawn to it."
"You can't go by yourself," he pleaded. "You'll die in the process,"
"I-I need to go to the Fire of Ogedord by myself." she admitted. "I feel like something's there that I need to learn,"
"Learn?" he cleared his throat and eyed her suspiciously. "You don't need to learn anything about the Fire of Ogedord. It's just a normal fire,"
"To you," she replied dryly and sat up from the bed. Her shoulder still was throbbing, but not as bad. "This is my only possible thing to prove myself,"
"You already have proved yourself, Reylyn," he steadied her as she almost collapsed because of the pain.
"I didn't prove myself enough. This could be my chance," She took a deep breath. "I'll go in a few days, you'll still have time to prepare me,"
Saif sighed. "Nope. Not gonna happen,"
"Yes it will. Heal me, please." Her gaze turned into pleading.
He grumbled. "Fine," He narrowed his eyes in concentration. Reylyn's body felt free of the pain.
She smiled thankfully at Saif. "Goodbye," she waved, as she stepped out into the unknown.
