His eyes adjusted to five beady eyed pirates up in his face, they were grinning like mad people. He was on the hardfloor of the ship's deck.
"Ahoy, Matey!" one of the pirates cheered. "Ahh, it's been ages since we've had someone sneak onto this ship! Let alone two!"
' "Settle down, Moonie. Let him adjust to the new scenery." a female pirate from behind the Moonie warned as she walked towards him.
Her hair was dark and curled. She looked fairly neat for a pirate. She grinned wickedly at Scarvern.
"Where's my sister?" he snapped. "Don't you dare touch her."
"You can call me Winter," the girl grinned. "Let's hope you two have some weapons with you,"
"I'm not agreeing to anything unless I know my sister's okay," he growled. His left pocket felt heavier than it was before.
"Why are you so protective over her?" Winter asked. "She's just ordinary,"
"She's my twin sister," he glared daggers at her.
Winter's grinned widened, now turning into a malicious smirk. "Oh, we'll definitely make sure she's safe now,"
Scavern reached for the heavy thing in his pockets. He was praying it was some type of weapon. Even a short knife would be nice. But instead, it was a small notebook.
A notebook? Really? It felt too heavy to be a notebook. But, he chucked it across the room, and it turned into a fifteen inch sword, and it found its way to his hands. The blade was silver, and the hilt was wood.
The pirates turned to him in disbelief.
"You like what you're seeing, boys?" Scarvern asked with a smirk.
"He looks like the wench he was with!"
"Me, Me! We could use that for the Coffer!" one of the pirates replied. He had a very heavy French accent.
"Ye, Ye!" another one cheerfully agreed.
"We're not putting that in the Coffer, Whipso!" Winter scowled the pirate. "It would probably just come back to that picaroon,"
"Picaroon?" Scarvern raised his eyebrow. "Is that some pirate insult?"
Winter smiled. "Yes, maybe you're smarter than I thought you were,"
Whipso didn't seem to hear her, because he was all cheerful about the insult. "Ye, Ye! It is a pirate insult! It means a scoundrel!"
Winter glared at him. "Did you not hear a single thing I said?"
Whipso ducked away from her.
"I don't even know why the Captain hasn't made you walk the plank with how annoying you are!"
Whipso let out a whimper and walked outside.
"Anyways," Winter cleared her throat and shifted to look more intimidating.
Scarvern acted scared. "Oh no! Please don't hurt me!"
Winter narrowed her eyes. "I hope you know you're a horrible actor," she grabbed her own sword from her belt and walked towards him menacingly.
"Who said I was acting?" he teased. "Maybe I am scared of you, I'm just playing it off well."
She charged her sword and skimmed his face. He missed it by the skin of his teeth.
"You have experience with fighting pirates!" Winter scowled. "Darn you!"
Scarvern was shocked at his own skills. He had never realized he was this good.
"Guess so," he replied with a smirk, trying not to be surprised by his own skills.
Winter went for his leg this time, and once again, he dodged it.
"Two times," Scarvern reminded her. "Now, will you let my sister go?"
Winter scowled. "Fine. Only because I know you'll eventually kill me if I don't,"
Scarvern grinned wickedly. "Thanks, Winter. I'll be here,"
She scowled and cleared her throat. "Pirates! I order you to get the girl from the dungeons!" She turned to him. "The blond one with those creepy eyes?"
Scarvern glared. "There not creepy, but yeah, that's her,"
"That's what I thought." The pirates shuffled around the deck, a few going into the last deck.
He patiently waited to see his sister, but his tiredness took over.
He dreamed of the girl in his dream, but this time, they were friends.
They were on a beach surrounding a forest, there was a crackling campfire in the middle of them.
She was making the fire bigger with flames from her hands.
He raised his eyebrow. "That's fancy,"
She rolled her eyes. "Thanks,"
