Scarvern dropped to his knees as he watched his sister bleed out from her deep wound near her heart. Her side was drenched with her blood.

Scarlyn smiled weakly up at him with closed eyes. "I'm okay," she muttered with tears streaming down her cheeks. "Just a little blood,"

"Hey, Hey," he swallowed back tears as he put pressure on her bloody shoulder. "You're gonna be okay. I promise."

She must have realized the severity of her wound, her heart sped up. "What's gonna happen if I do die?"

His chin quivered as tears slid down his cheeks. "Don't you dare think about dying right now, Scars. You're gonna be okay," he tried. Though he didn't know himself if she was gonna survive this. He ripped a large bit of fabric off of his shirt to wrap around her shoulder.

"Thank you," she smiled.

Scarvern smiled back. "Your welcome," He turned to Reylyn's sleeping body beside a tall tree. She had been knocked out by the force of the portal.

Scarlyn turned her gaze to Reylyn. "She needs more help then I do,"

Reylyn's eyeballs were moving back and forth under her eyelids and she was clutching her weapon.

"You're bleeding out, Scarlyn," he hissed at his sister. "She can handle herself,"

"Remember what mom said to us when you cut your arm and you had a gash across it, and you thought you were gonna die from it, even though it was barely bleeding?"

He chuckled a little and nodded. "Yes, I do,"

"And how she told you to take deep breaths to keep you calm and keep your bloody arm from getting worse?"

He nodded at her again.

"Take care of her first," she hissed. "Or take breaths, imagine this cut is that little one on my arm,"

"Okay. But what if it doesn't help me, or Reylyn? What if it makes it worse?"

Scarlyn coughed slightly at his resistance, but more blood leaked out from her shoulder. "Just listen to me," she coughed again, spitting up blood.

Scarvern cursed under his breath. "Nope, not going over to help if you're bleeding out this bad," he tightened his pressure on her shoulder. More tears fell from his eyes. His hands were drenched with his sister's blood.

Scarvern snapped out of his trance and looked down at his hands. They were clean, no blood in sight. He looked around to see Reylyn's still body. Her eyes were still moving back and forth under her eyelids., and she was still clutching her dagger. That part was real.

"Hey," Scarvern called to her as he walked over to her and lightly tapped her shoulder. She stirred slightly, but her eyes still paced back and forth. Reylyn started to drag her gladius across the metal floor.
