Reylyn leaned her head against the cold cobblestone of the king of Vadelin's prison. She had been here for almost three days. Three days since not knowing if Scarvern was alive, and not hurt. The prince had turned her into the king. She was lucky whoever was in Alnao had bought her more time.

Reylyn had learned some things about Scarvern's kingdom, though. It all made sense the way he was. Protective. Cunning. He had to be like that to survive here, even the tiniest bit of slipping could leave his life in danger. Dead even.

Reylyn rose her head groggily as she felt someone's beady eyes staring at her in her sleep. "You should have more respect for people while they sleep," she muttered to the pair of eyes. They were staring at her like she was prey. It wasn't field time, the sun was setting. Or at least sunsetting time in Vadelin. "It's not field time, so go," The white glistening of the eyes caught her eye. That white wasn't human like. It was ghost-like.

"This is the girl you're trying to save?" The ghost was definitely a girl, her voice had a judgy tint to it. "Might as well just leave her here. She isn't worth saving," The ghost glanced to the side,

"At least my body isn't air," Reylyn snapped back. The ghost girl turned her head sharply to Reylyn's direction. Reylyn popped her knuckles to taunt the ghost. "I really don't care about your pity party type of story, I would rather much like you to unlock my cell and let me be free. I did nothing wrong to be here, but, that's also just my opinion." she picked at her dirty fingernails.

"Well, your lucky someone's idotical enough to release you," the ghost grumbled. She stepped, well floated, away from Reylyn's cell.

Reylyn's heart nearly stopped as she saw Scarvern's form, but in ghost form. She felt like barfing. He smirked slightly at her queasy face.

"I'm only temporarily a ghost," he reassured her. "For like another hour and a half. But we need to get you out of this," Scarvern's eyes moved around the prison. "And ignore them..." Reylyn guessed he was referring to the people beside her left and right side that were begging to be let out.

Her heart sank at his happy tone. "I can't," she stood up to walk, but silver chains wrapped around her wrists and hoisted her back down. "These trap me in here when I get too close to the bar."

His expression dropped. He turned to the hoard of ghosts behind him. "What do we do? There's no way I'm leaving this prison without her," He took on a demanding look.

The ghost girl from earlier tilted her head to the side. "Very low chance of her getting out." she chuckled darkly. "Unless both of you have special powers, fire and water. Of course we don't know how true it is. It's never happened in this prison before. The king always kills the fire ones off before they can cause problems,"

"So that's why I'm here," Reylyn squoze her eyes shut and opened them again. "Eleventh to walk the plank. Into the shark infested ocean of Vadelin,"

Scarvern's ghost grumbled. "Well, lucky for us," he paused. "We both have those powers. We even went on a quest to learn more about them. But now it feels more like a discrimination siege than anything. But that won't stop us from escaping now will it, Reylyn? Or Flamespark?" he turned to her.

Her cheeks tinged pink at the new nickname for her. "No it won't, Bay," Bay reminded her of his love for the ocean.

He smirked at his new nickname from her.

A smaller ghost boy spoke up. "If you don't want to use your powers, I can turn the girl into a ghost, like you. Then if the clock strikes twelve, you can have your happy ending!"

"I'm willing to do that," she didn't hesitate at all. She wondered if this was how Scarvern accepted becoming a ghost this eagerly.

The boy nodded. He closed his eyes shut. extra tight for a ghost. A few minutes later Reylyn's body felt light and airy. Her whole body was see through, and she could see the ghosts' outlines better as her eyes adjusted to the vision ghosts had. The chains bounding her wrists clattered to the ground loudly.

Reylyn looked up at Scarvern and gave him her signature smile. "Let's get out of here, Bay,"
