He ran up to the top deck to see two beefy pirates holding his sister over the plank.

"Walk the plank! Walk the plank! Walk the plank!" The pirates chanted at each other. "Walk the plank!"

He tried his hardest to get through the pirates and glared at Winter.

"You promised me you'll let her go!" He grabbed the notebook and chucked it across the boat. His sword landed in his palms once again.

"You never said let her go safely," she flashed a wicked grin. "Besides! We're heading to a ball in the other kingdom, she would be a nice addition to our part of the ball!"

Scavern considered this. "Fine, I'll go. But you have to promise to let us go after it. Safely,"

Winter looked like she was going to scowl but she didn't. "Deal," she stuck out her hand for him to shake it.

He took it.

Winter grinned. "Welcome to the Quizzy Skulls, the pirates of the ship of Dedalen," she paused. "Pirates! Let that girl off of the plank, my orders!"

The pirates looked surprised, but they obeyed. The two beefy pirates lead Scarlyn off of the plank.

She had looked different since the last morning he had seen her. Her face had changed already. She looked a lot more independent and fierce. The most noticeable thing about her was the fire in her eyes.

"You look different," he muttered to her as the pirates let her go, she immediately ran for him.

"You too," she smirked at him and ruffled her hair. "Did I hear the pirates right? They're saying you have an enchanted notebook?"

He nodded. "And the pirates are called Quizzy Skulls," he clarified.

She raised her eyebrow. "Queasy what?"

"Quizzy Skulls. That's what the pirates are called here," The pirates cheered as they heard him. "Anyways, do you want to see my fancy new notebook?"

Scarlyn nodded with curiosity.

He threw the notebook across the room, and it hit a few pirates in the process. They scowled.

Scarlyn watched in amusement as the sword landed in his hands. "That's awesome!"

"Thank you," he replied cheekily as he heard Winter giving orders to pretty girl pirates with thread and needles in their hands.

Winter caught his eye and turned back to the group of the pirates. "Take these two down to the designer deck," she told one of them sternly.

The group of pirates nodded shyly and walked over to him and Scarlyn.

"Uhm, Hi," one with wavy bleach blond hair started. "Captain Winter would like you and.. Her," she looked stunned to say Scarlyn's name.

Scarvern smiled softly. "Scarvern Lawson," he did a hand gesture he had seen the pirates to greet each other with. "This is Scarlyn Lawson, my sister,"

She nodded sheepishly. "Please follow me, down to the designer deck," the pirate began and signaled for the other pirates surrounding her to help.

Scarvern and Scarlyn followed after them cautiously.

When they went into a room on the designer deck, which was like almost every other deck on this ship except for the overwhelming amount of sewing needles and fabric, they saw pirates hard at work.

A pretty one with black hair smiled up at him. "Welcome to the designer deck," she stopped the dress she was making and walked up to the two and offered her hand to shake it.

Scarlyn shook it hesitantly. The girl smiled. "Copper looks like your color," the girl sat down back on her desk and began shuffling through drawers of fabric. She pulled out a few squares of fabric. One of them was brown, the other orange, one copper and one gold.

She walked up to Scarlyn and started putting the fabric near her face. As Scarvern expected, she smacked them away.

"Just put them on my arm or something!" Scarlyn scowled.

Scarvern gave the pirate girl an apologetic look. "She... doesn't really love people.."

She shrugged. "I should've asked, but may I?"

Scarlyn glared but nodded stubbornly.

"I'm Geoana," the pirate girl began as she put the pieces of fabric on Scarlyn's arm and wrote something down on a piece of paper.

Another pirate ran up to Scarvern and asked him the same question. She took his arm and put three different shades of blue on his arm.

The pirate grinned happily as she kissed his cheek. Scarvern could feel his cheeks warming up.

She giggled and went to her group of friends.

There were sewing machines going in each of the rooms, and each of the operators were hard at work. Almost all of them were working on ballroom suits and dresses.

Scarvern walked up to one of the designers and tapped her shoulder.

"Uhm, excuse me? What are these dresses and suits for?" he asked shyly.

The girl looked up. "Didn't anyone tell you? These are for the four kingdoms ball!" she scowled at him. "That means every single kingdom on this land will be together for the first time in years!"

Scarvern's eyes widened. "And you guys were invited?"

The pirate paused. "No. But we can break in," she flashed an evil smirk.

Scarvern laughed. "Being a pirate is fun, huh?"

The pirate grinned again. "You should stay with us, and learn to live like a pirate!"

Scarvern shook his head reluctantly. "No thanks. I'll let you get back to your work,"
