Taehyung POV

"I'm s-sorry," I quietly mutter as I cautiously step into the lounge, my heart heavy with regret. Jungkook lifts his gaze, his expression a mixture of surprise and concern evident in his eyes.

"Sorry for what, doll?" he inquires gently, setting his laptop aside, his tone soothing and understanding.

"For punching you and saying h-hateful words,"  I confess as I tentatively draw closer, my voice filled with remorse.

"Love, you don't need to say sorry," Jungkook says, softly. "I understand."

"Nevertheless, I behaved atrociously and I should not have acted in such a manner," I admit, taking a few hesitant steps towards him. "I-I truly don't know what came over me. It was as if my emotions reached a boiling point that I couldn't contain. When the tears started, I c-couldn't stop them."

"Please, come sit with me," Jungkook urges, gesturing towards the seat by his side. Reluctantly, I obey. "Taehyung, why would I be upset with you, my love? You did nothing wrong. It is human to release pent-up emotions, and you bore the weight of yours for far too long. You had every right to be furious with me. I know I erred in ways I shouldn't have. B-but I felt cornered, desperate, doll. I couldn't bear the thought of a life without you. That bastard had no right to shame you in such a manner. His words pained me deeply, and I shudder to think of the anguish they inflicted upon you."

"Thank you for understanding," I say. As I inhale deeply, I deliberately push away the morning's unsettling thoughts that threatened to cloud my mind. "You didn't go to work?" I query.

"I couldn't have just left you there, doll," Jungkook exclaims.

"But you had an important meeting," I answer. "Jungkook! You should've gone."

"Not without you," he says. "Would you like to take the day off today? We could go out."

"What about work?" I question.

Jungkook casually dismisses my worries with a wave of his hand. "We are going out, 'kay. I want us to get to know each other better."

"So that I can fall for you faster?" I question, raising my brow.

"Yes, exactly," Jungkook chuckles.

"Creepy pedo," I mutter.

"There's my Taehyung," Jungkook grins.

"I will not be seen in public with you wearing that," I assert firmly, crossing my arms with a disapproving look. Jungkook, once again, was wearing a perfectly tailored suit with effortless charm oozing from every seam. Although he looks fine as fuck, it is way too formal.

Jungkook, nonchalantly examining his outfit with a hint of confusion, casually inquires,"What's wrong in my attire?"

"You are wearing a suit, you dumbass," I yell.

"Taehyung, if anyone else called me that, they'd be dead by now," Jungkook retorts with a playful smirk, his eyes glinting mischievously. "Just letting you know."

"So, you're saying you want to kill me?" I respond, raising an eyebrow in mock seriousness. "Okay, Jungkook. Fine. I'm not going anywhere."

"Aww, is little Taehyungie angry at me?" Jungkook teases, the corners of his lips twitching with a hidden smile.

"Oh my god, I will kill you," I shriek.

"I'm sorry, doll," Jungkook says. "Come on, let's go."

"Where are we going?" I ask as we start walking downstairs.
