Taehyung POV
"You bought the fucking ice cream machine?" I yell, incredulous as my eyes land on the unexpected sight of the guard exiting with the machine cradled in his arms.
"Yes, doll. You said you wanted that ice cream every day," Jungkook explains with a hint of amusement in his voice. "Don't worry, I paid him well for it."
"I-i don't know what to say," I stammer, my gratitude overflowing as I struggle to find the right words. "Thank you so much, Jungkook."
"Anything for you, doll," Jungkook says, his hand brushing mine. "Let's go home, now."
I sit inside the car and grab my phone. There were several messages from Ha-yoon.
Ha-yoon
Can we meet up tmrw?Ha-yoon
I know you still want meHa-yoon
That Jeon can't fuck you like I couldHa-yoon
Darling
PleaseHa-yoon
Fucking reply backI quickly glance at Jungkook to see if he was looking at me. Instead, his gaze was focused intently on the road ahead, his hands steady on the wheel. I block Ha-yoon's number and then shut my phone off.
I recline the seat backwards, adjusting it to a comfortable position, and then proceed to lie down on it.
"Don't sleep just yet, Tae," Jungkook says.
"I won't," I mumble. It deeply surprises me to realize how genuinely kind and sweet Ha-yoon appeared to be towards me initially, only for his facade to crumble into a deceptive display when situations didn't align with his desires. The warmth and affection he showed was merely a pretense, overshadowed by the stark contrast of his true intentions. Surpassing even Jungkook's wrongdoings, Ha-yoon's betrayal of trust cut far deeper, leaving scars that may take longer to heal. Jungkook, from the start, told me exactly who he was and what he wants. I admit Jungkook shouldn't have blackmailed me and manipulated my parents but at-least he didn't put on a fake face in front of me. Ha-yoon, on the other hand, lied to my face. He whispered words of love, yet those sentiments now ring hollow as they were merely tools to manipulate and possess me .The harsh reality of his actions hit me like a ton of bricks, revealing an obsessive and disrespectful side that I never fathomed was lurking beneath his charming exterior. This morning's events were a stark wake-up call to the toxic toxicity that resided within Ha-yoon, showcasing his inability to honor and respect another person's choices. I hope I never see his face again.
Jungkook has been incredibly kind and supportive towards me. I truly appreciate how he stood by my side in front of Ha-yoon, showing unwavering loyalty and defending me when I needed it the most. Jungkook did so much for me, just to make me smile. Hell, he bought a whole ice cream machine for me. Despite moments of hurt, Jungkook has demonstrated his willingness to make amends, exemplified by the way he respected my choices and boundaries, never pressuring me into anything I wasn't ready for. He's giving me the time and space I need to process my emotions and come to my own decisions. He signed that contract for me. Just for me.
I turn onto my side and stare at him. It's still too early to say that I like him. But I do know that I do not hate him anymore. And I do know that Jungkook has made a space in my heart, however small that might be.

Jungkook POV
"Doll, are you asleep?" I ask softly, my voice barely above a whisper, as I glance down at Taehyung. Observing him, I notice how serene he looks, eyes peacefully shut, body resting in a delicate curve in the seat, his chest rhythmically rising and falling with each breath. "Oh, you beautiful little liar. You said you wouldn't sleep." My finger delicately traces down the side of his serene face, urging a longing within me. "Fall for me, love. Fall for me as hard as I did for you." I brush our lips together and sit back on my seat.
