Sophie had just finished putting down her pencil after grading all 215 questions on Fitz's test. He had only gotten 43 wrong, which wasn't bad at all. 80 percent correct. Her human math skills hadn't been forgotten after all. She set the papers in her bag and stretched, standing slowly out of her chair and moving to her bed. Sophie was utterly exhausted.
Just one more day until I can be matchable.
Sophie soundly fell asleep, whispering the reassuring words in her sleep.

"Late!" Sophie exclaimed. "I'm so late!"
"Miss Foster, it will be alright." Sandor gently said through the door as Sophie struggled to tug her uniform over her head.
"Thanks, Sandor, but I'm really, really late. I'm not so sure they'll forgive me for this one." Sophie quickly brushed her hair, wincing as the knots were pulled from her hair. She grabbed her book bag and ran down the stairs, bumping into Grady.
"Hi, Soph! How's it go..." Grady's face fell as Sophie brushed past him. "-ing?"
"Good. Late. Bye!" Sophie rushed past him down the stairs and into the kitchen. She smooshed a muffin into her mouth and ran back up the stairs to the Leapmaster. She yelled Foxfire and ran as soon as the light faded away. She burst into the main hall behind Stina's group right as Magnate Leto appeared above.
"Good morning, Foxfire!" Sophie drowned out the rest as she listened to Stina's conversation with her two friends.
"Hopefully Fitz's parents will make him go to my Liaison Party. That way, my parents can convince his that Sophie isn't good enough for him." Stina said.
Sophie clutched her bag to her chest.
Allana scoffed. "Good luck with that, they're literally cognates."
"Not yet! They aren't cognates yet. I can use that against them, and convince them that Sophie isn't right for Fitz." Stina smirked.
"How do you know they aren't cognates yet?" Lenora asked.
"Because I go to the Team Valiant Meetings, and she can't seem to shut up about it."
"See? You said it yourself, she can't shut up about it. They're clearly crazy for each other."
"I know that, Lenora." Stina snarled. "His parents just need a little bit of convincing."
Sophies shuffled backwards, still clutching her backpack to her chest. She couldn't believe what was happening. Sophie leaned against a pillar deep in thought until Magnate Leto dismissed the students. Sophie rushed to her next class, The Universe. She didn't bother trying to look for her friends or even Fitz. The Universe had always been one of her favorite classrooms to be in, anyways. The room was a giant dome the same color as the night sky. It was dotted with all the known stars and bodies in The Universe. Each was labeled and colored accordingly. The writing was partially transparent, so the dome could be enjoyed without the obstruction of the labels.
"Sophie," Lady Kina peered over her glasses, "You're early."
"Sorry, Lady Kina. I just wanted t get this final over with." Sophie sat down.
"Well someone's in a rush today. Usually you're running around with that Vacker boy before your classes, no?"
"Oh, I guess." Sophie nervously giggled. Lady Kina had always been one of her favorite mentors and The Universe had always been one of her favorite classes. Her photographic memory really helped with her skills.
