Aiah's POV

I smiled as I read Mikha's last text. It's been six years, but I can't help but fall even harder for her.

I still feel sparks whenever she texts or when we are together. It feels like yesterday when we first met.

I couldn't understand why everyone was so into her back in high school. I knew her for her leadership, always bringing victory to our school in academic contests.

However, I never really cared because I excelled in pageantry and was one of the top students.

Every time I saw her, she wore a poker face and didn't seem to care about her admirers. The only friend I knew of hers was Colet, who had a similar personality.

Our first significant encounter was when we were both stuck at school due to heavy rain late at night.

I didn't realize it was already night as I was busy practicing singing and dancing for a talent show. I could have painted, but I wanted to step out of my comfort zone.

Mikha happened to pass by after finishing her work for the student council. She approached me first and asked if I wasn't going home yet since it was late. I agreed to go home upon realizing the time.

I vividly remember when it started to rain, and she offered to share her umbrella while we waited for my driver.

It was the first time I could really look at her face. I knew she had an exquisitely beautiful face, but gazing at her for seconds felt different, almost hypnotic.

"Take a picture if you're going to stare," she suddenly said with a melodic tone, catching me off guard.

"I-I was not..." I stuttered nervously.

"I don't mind if you do," she said with a serious expression but not looking at me.

I was about to deny it, but she turned to face me, and my heart leaped out of my chest.

"Say my name, you know why I came," she sang in front of me and chuckled. Is this Mikha Lim? The cold officer? She seemed like a goofball now.

"Relax, Aiah, I was just singing 'watchu need' by Unis," she said while chuckling.

I let out a nervous laugh. Our arms touched when she faced forward again, and I felt my heart rate increase. I convinced myself it was just excitement from being with the famous Mikha Lim.

"You know my name?" I asked.

"Of course, you're the queen of this school. Everybody knows you," she smiled at me, making my body tremble.

"And everybody knows you as well, Mikha. You're a great leader," I complimented her, and she smiled even more.

"The rumors are true; you're so kind, Aiah."

"And my first impression of you was wrong; you're not cold at all," I replied, and she just laughed.

Her deep voice made her laughter sound alluring/sexy. Oh my God, Aiah, stop.

"Well, if you don't want me to be nice to you, then I'll act cold."

"Friendly Mikha sounds perfect to me." I immediately responded.

She then asked for my number so we could hang out sometime. I didn't expect us to become so close that we started falling for each other, surprising the whole campus when we started dating.

Even now, in our third year of college, she still gives me butterflies. She never fails to make me feel loved, and I reciprocate the same. Though we have our disagreements, we always find our way back to each other's arms.
