3rd PERSON POV

Aiah held a bunch of takeout foods, planning to eat them later and save some for a midnight snack. She would just have to reheat them.

A smile crossed her face as she remembered how she had satisfied herself by getting revenge on the person she loathed the most.

It wasn't entirely satisfying, but at least it made the person a little miserable.

"I will throw all this away, ma'am," Maki said, reaching for the dishes Mikha had cooked, but she stopped him.

"No, pack it. I will take it out."

"But I thought you didn't like it," Maki questioned.

She thought of a reason. "I will give it to the homeless people on my way home."

In reality, she hadn't eaten real food for the last four years because Maloi was always stopping her, monitoring her weight.

Unlocking her condo, she was surprised when someone suddenly pulled her and kissed her harshly on the lips.

She pushed the person away.

Maloi tried to kiss her again, but Aiah stopped her.

"I'm tired, bal. Not now, please," Aiah pleaded.

"I gave you the space you needed, but you betray me!" Maloi screamed.

What's her problem again?

"What do you mean?" Aiah asked, looking at the shattered glasses on the floor, symbolizing their shattered relationship.

"Can we talk a little calmer? I'm hungry, Maloi."

But Maloi grabbed Aiah's arm, throwing her food on the floor, scattering it.

"What the hell is your problem?!" Aiah shouted back.

"Oh, and now you're angry!" Maloi held tight onto Aiah's arm, revealing a bruise covered with concealer from their last fight.

"You threw my food! I said I'm hungry! And what the hell is your problem again?!" Aiah questioned.

"Are you angry because Mikha was the one who cooked those shits?!
Do you think I didn't know that you hired your ex?
What?
Are you getting back together again?" Maloi accused Aiah.

Aiah couldn't believe the words coming from Maloi's mouth.

"I'm not the one who hired her for Pete's sake!" Aiah uttered with disbelief.

"Then why didn't you fire her when you found out?" Maloi questioned Aiah.

Do I really always have to explain myself to her? Aiah thought.

"I don't have enough reason to just fire her. It would be unprofessional to use our past to terminate the contract."

Maloi chuckled, shaking her head as she forcefully let go of Aiah's arm.

Aiah was used to the pain and bruises.

She wondered why she had let their relationship become so toxic.

"No, I don't believe you, Aiah. You just want to be with her, to see her!
Did you forget who was there for you when that bastard cheated on you?
Did you forget the way she broke your heart?
I'm the one who completed you again, Aiah.
So follow what I want. Stay away from that woman." Maloi demanded.
