3rd PERSON POV
She played with the ribbon on her head, her jaw tightened.
Her eyes flared with fire, anger, and hatred.
Her chest heaved heavily as she threw the rock glass against the wall, swearing.
Voices played in her head.
"Aiah... please... please. Come back, I will try to change, okay? I'm going to change. I will never hurt you or doubt you again," Maloi pleaded, bending her knees to Aiah.
"Maloi, we are just hurting each other," Aiah's eyes begged Maloi to give up.
"I don't want to hurt your feelings even further. You can feel it, right? That I can't give my whole heart to you," Maloi teared up at Aiah's statement.
"I don't care, just don't leave me, please?" Maloi begged even more.
"I... I can't do this anymore," Aiah shook her head and turned her back on Maloi.
Maloi felt a huge amount of rage at that action.
She stood up, pulled Aiah's arm aggressively, and grabbed Aiah's jaw.
"Why can't you love me? Huh?! All I ever did was give my all to you. I even handed you your dream!"
"This is why I can't love you! All you are is this and that. I feel like you're paying me to love you back," Aiah replied with disgust.
Maloi couldn't hold herself back and slapped Aiah.
Aiah was stunned, totally surprised that Maloi could slap her.
Maloi realized what she did and immediately apologized, but Aiah seemed hurt.
She gave Maloi a cold look.
"This is why I can never ever love you, Maloi," Aiah chuckled with disappointment.
Maloi opened another whiskey and drank it straight from the bottle, closing her eyes as she slammed the bottle on her table.
"Do you still love her?" Maloi asked Aiah, gripping her jaw in the parking lot.
How dare Aiah try to protect Mikha.
Aiah's answer crushed her.
"I do," Aiah whispered with sincerity, though she was obviously hurting from Maloi's grip.
Maloi laughed at her flashbacks, then cried hysterically.
She vowed to make them pay for breaking her heart.
She would ensure that Mikha and her family suffered so much that Aiah would come crawling back to her.
She had made it happen before, and she could make it happen again, and again, and again.
.....
Aiah decided to open the flash drive, hoping to find a reason to hate Mikha, hoping that Mikha had indeed cheated on her.
Aiah was about to click open the video (document from the flash drive Stacey gave) when her phone rang loudly.
It was Maki.
"Mabuhay!" Aiah greeted.
"Ms. Aiah. Did you hear about the news?" Maki stated with worry.
"What news?"
"Ms. Mikha Lim. Your new personal assistant's restaurant was on fire. It's all burned down!" Maki was shaking, and Aiah heard a loud siren from a firetruck.
