Last night

Stacey's POV

Mikha came to me last night at 1:30 am, telling me that Sheena doesn't want her to sleep beside her.

She said this wasn't the first time Sheena had neglected her, even though she wasn't on her period.

"What did you do, though? Sheena wasn't like that before," I said, laughing at her sulking face.

Mikha was such a pouting baby.

"I...uhm, I drove Aiah home just a while ago, and Sheena seems, uhm, she didn't find it pleasant," Mikha leaned into the sofa, stomping her feet.

"I think your wife is jealous," I teased.

Mikha just looked at me, and she went smiling like a fool. Wtf?

"You think so?" She asked, trying to keep herself from smiling but failing like an idiot.

"There's no other reason why she's pushing you away; she became like that since Aiah came back," I stated again, making her face turn red.

"What if... What if Sheena has already fallen in love with me, like, for real?" Mikha asked, biting her lower lip to prevent herself from smiling like a total fool.

I was laughing hard at her expression. Dorky Mikha hadn't really changed.

"Hoy! Why are you getting all giddy?" I threw a pillow at her face.

"I am not," Mikha denied.

Her eyes were sparkling with her thoughts. She was indeed getting giddy with her own statement.

"How about you? Have you already fallen for your wife?" I asked, and she just threw a pillow back at me.

"She's not hard to love, Staku."

"How about Aiah, do you still love her?" She went silent at my question. I saw how her hands were shaking. I see.

"You literally don't have to work for her, Mikha," I said, but she shook her head.

She came near me, sat beside me, and clutched onto my arms.

"Staku, she has no one else right now. Maloi is hurting her; she treated Aiah so aggressively."

"That's not your problem anymore."

"Too late. I already befriended her."

"Are you crazy?! Is this why Sheena was so mad at you?"

"I don't know, I just feel like I still need to protect her. All the hatred I felt for her just disappeared when I witnessed how Maloi hurt her physically," Mikha stated.

And for a second, I felt a little worried for Aiah.

"But it doesn't mean that I will leave my family for her; I love them more than anyone else," Mikha stated.

I sighed as I hugged Mikha.

"I still don't approve of you, Mikha."

And I felt the urge to confront Aiah; I needed to know what the hell she was planning.

If her relationship with Maloi went so bad, it doesn't mean she can just come back and ruin Mikha's family.

3rd PERSON POV

Present

Stacey was aggressively ringing the doorbell, her patience wearing thin.

Aiah wanted to laugh at her, but she was confused.

Why would Stacey suddenly want to talk to her?

Why was Stacey appearing at her door?

Aiah opened it and faced Stacey.

"May I come in?" Stacey scoffed, almost wanting to end this quickly.

Aiah stared at her, finding Stacey so gorgeous.

She pulled off her pink outfit so well.

Stacey didn't wait for Aiah's permission; she just walked inside the condo.

She went straight to the sofa and sat as if she owned the room.

"What are you doing here, traitor?" Aiah asked, anger evident in her voice.

Stacey chuckled at Aiah's term.

"Mikha is right, you've changed A LOT, a LOT." Stacey smirked as she locked eyes with Aiah, who was looking at her with tension and rage.

"What do you need, Stacey?" Aiah asked again, seriously.

Stacey stood and walked around Aiah, studying her best friend's body.

Then she saw the bruise on Aiah's jaw.

Her facial expression softened, but she quickly remembered her purpose.

"How much?" Stacey asked.

Aiah's eyebrows furrowed.

"How much did you pay Mikha? I will return it. Just stay away from her, leave her alone."

"Stop whatever you're planning, Stacey." Aiah's jaw clenched, the betrayal of her best friend still weighing on her mind.

"You're the one who needs to stop, Aiah. I know you're planning revenge. For what? Because your love life messed up, and you want to ruin Mikha's family?" Stacey spat with venom.

Aiah laughed sarcastically, amazed at how far Stacey would go to protect Mikha's family from ruin.

"You don't tolerate this setup, yet why did you watch Mikha cheat on me four years ago?" Aiah, hungover, couldn't help but voice her thoughts.

Stacey seemed prepared for this conversation; she placed a flash drive on the table and glared at Aiah.

"You never gave us a chance to explain," Stacey stated as she looked at the flash drive.

"Mikha told me not to show this to you anymore since you left your long-term relationship for Maloi, but I can't stand you calling me and Mikha traitors." Every sentence Stacey spoke was filled with anger.

"Watch it, Aiah. Watch how foolish you've been." Stacey walked near Aiah, their faces almost touching.

Aiah scoffed. "What is it? You want me to watch how they were intimate? I saw it with my own eyes before, Stacey!"

"Mikha didn't do that!"

"Yeah, so what! But she has a three-year-old daughter now, which means she wanted a baby with someone else the moment I left!" Aiah breathed heavily.

Stacey chuckled, realizing that Aiah would not believe them, no matter what she said.

"You are the stupidest person I've ever met, Aiah." Stacey ended the conversation and walked out of Aiah's condo.
