Chapter Fourty-Three

    “...we used to be friends, aren’t we?” Those triggered the Empress causing him to almost fell because of the sudden force of magic that was released by Annoura herself.

    ”Oh really? Well, that disgust me! You never ever became my friend! You traitor!” The Empress shouted.

   The demon king laughed as if the the Empress told him a joke.

   “Why so rude, your Highness? What an attitude.”

   “Stop acting like you care, Azhran. You started this war, I’ll end it!” She said and started approaching him to attack unbeknownst the consequence of her action.

    He, with his dark magic, the Empress floats as he pointed his hands in her direction.

   “Those exact same words she also told me before she left, reminds me of her...”

   Annoura’s face turned solid serious. “Don’t mention her here, how dare you?!”

  With all her might, she used her magic to free herself from her opponent’s magic.

  Naglaban silang muli at naging mas agresibo ang galaw ng bawat isa. Sa paglayo ng Emperatris sakanya ay siya namang pag gawa niya ng malaking bilog na tiyak na susunugin ang balat ng matatamaan nito.

    Azhran threw his dark magic at Annoura while she tries to protect herself with her magic.

   Nang mapansin ito ng ilang mga immortal ay sinubukan nilang lumapit ngunit tumilapon lamang sila at nawalan ng malay.

    Sinubukan ring lumapit ng may malalakas na kapangyarihan katulad na lamang ng Royalties at ang mga ilang hari’t reyna ngunit napatigil sila nang may dumating mula sa kung saan na apat na naka itim at may takip ang mga mukha.

   Hindi na sila pa nagulat na may natitira pang kalaban ngunit hindi sila kaagad nakagalaw dahil sa aura ng mga bagong dating.

   Bigla silang natauhan nang marinig ang sigaw ng kanilang Emperatris.

   Sabay-sabay silang gumalaw upang humakbang at nakipag laban sa mga bagong dating. Mababatid sa galaw ng apat na sila ay tunay na malalakas at sanay sa pakikipaglaban sapagkat nagawa nilang sugatan at matamaan ang ilan sa mga pinaka makapangyarihang immortal. Iniiwas ng apat ang mga kalaban nilang lumapit sa naglalabang Emperatris at ang kanilang hari.

   Walo silang nagtutulong-tulong upang subukang patumbahin ang apat nang sa ganoon ay maisalba nila ang Emperatris na ngayon ay batid nilang nanghihina na.

   Si Crizelle at Rhichen ay pinagtutulungan ang isa sa apat na kalaban.

   ‘babae’ ani nila pareho sa isip nang mapansin ang pigura ng kalaban. Nagkatinginan silang nang mapaatras sila dahil sa malakas na sipa.

   Napatingin sila sa mga kasamahan. Si Hanse at Shanley ay medyo malaki ang katawan, lalaki ito.

   Ang Hari at Reyna ay kalaban din ang isang lalake base sa galaw nito.

   Ang huli naman ay si Zyro at babae ang kalaban nito. Ang sandata nitong pana ay nagiging espada at maalam itong gamitin kaya tunay ngang kahanga-hanga. Malakas at maliksi ang bawat galaw ni Zyro at halatang nahihirapan din ang kalaban nito sa pag iwas.

   Nang magtama ang sandata nila ay hindi na pinalagpas ni Zyro upang sipain iyon dahilan nga ng pagka tilapon ng babae at sa biglaang pangyayari nawala sa paningin ni Zyro ang kalaban kung kaya naging alerto ito sa biglang atake. Nakiramdam ito, binaba ang espada.

   The girl appears on his back, attempting to attack from the back, the girl smirked but her smirk faded when Zyro also disappears in the wind. She looked around and points her sword in every direction she looks untill she felt someone kicked her from the back causing her to scream a little. She got fooled by her own trick.

   In Zyro’s mind, “I encountered this attack before, I was deeply wounded back then.”

   When she turns around, half of her face was revealed and Zyro saw it. After the girl’s realization, she covered her face and disappeared. He can’t sense her presence anymore.

   He was stunned for a moment but forgets about his thoughts. He didn’t bother look at the direction she disappeared but rather help the others defeat the other three but was too late. They all disappeared on unison like they were with the same instincts.

    “Everyone! The Empress—” They all looked at the same direction where the Empress is in a tough fight with the Demon King.

   They didn’t take any notice about how to get through the barrier the Demon King did to prevent them from interrupting their fight.

   Some let out their magic and used their power attempting to dissolve the spell that the King made.

   It was difficult than expected, but they failed.

   “Let’s try it again! Together!” Rhichen said. With her power to froze something, its no use, even the fire and water manipulators failed to dissolve the barrier.

   They screamed as the Empress fell into the ground, she vomited blood that causes them to panic.
  
   Zyro stood still and analyses the situation. Even though the demon king did a basic attack, the Empress was wounded badly. He stared on what is inside.

   They used their weapons and tries to break it but Zyro immediately stopped them.

   “No! Don’t stop! The Empress badly needs our help!” Shanley shouts, she looks so worried.

   “No, stop! Your magics’ making the Empress go weak! The barrier, the barrier is the reason why the Empress can’t fight back...”

   They started to regret their move.

   “What should we do now?!” Crizelle worriedly asked.

   What else can they do but watch? If they interrupt, the Empress might die too soon but if they stood still and wait, nothing will happen but they would still lose the Empress.

   They all looked hopeless.

   “Think, everyone, think!”

   “It’s impossible...”

   “But we can’t just watch our ruler die! What will Goddess Yllani thinks about us? That we can’t even defend her mother and fight for her?” Yno stated.

   “But where is she now? Alam ba niya na mamamatay na ang Ina niya? ‘di ba siya ang pinaka malakas sa lahat? Paano niya tayo pamumunuan sa susunod kung mismo ngayon ay wala siyang magaw—?”

   “Shut up, Chen! Hindi ka nakakatulong! You know she can’t escape her tribulation and maybe she’s suffering right now as well!” Crizelle said.

   “At hindi rin nakakatulong kung mag-aaway kayo ngayon! Jusme! Sa harap pa talaga ng lahat? Wala ba talagang pinipiling oras ‘yung bangayan niyo? Mahiya naman kayo sa mga magulang natin na nandito!” Pagpapagitna ni Hanse.

   “E hindi naman nila tayo naiintin—”

   “Kahit pa, Shan. Hindi sila tanga para hindi mabatid na nag-aaway tayo.” Crizelle said.

   Napalingon sila nang matanaw ang malaking itim na bola na nasa itaas ng ulo ni Azhran. Ang Emperatris ay naka luhod ang isang tuhod at tumutukod gamit lamang ang sandata nitong espada.

   Tumingin pa sa gawi nila ang hari ng mga demonyo at ngumisi. May sinambit ito sa Emperatris at muling tumingin sa gawi nila.

   “Watch me, as I end the life of your beloved Empress Annoura!”

   Everyone tried to run to her when the barrier disappeared but things were too fast, the moment they created a shield for her, it was too late, he already threw the blazing dark magic to her and it caused a big sudden explosion. Gumawa iyon ng malaking epekto at tumilapon silang lahat palayo sa lugar kung nasaan ang kanilang pinuno.

   Everything is covered with smoke and silence.

   “N-no...”
