Chapter Fourty-Seven

   When I saw both of them smiling from ear to ear, I knew, I couldn’t make him smile like that.

   Nagulat ako nang biglang may humawak sa balikat ko. I was surprised to see Shanley. Agad kong pinahiran ang mga luha ko kahit alam kong nakita naman niya iyon.

   “Are you okay? What a stupid question, of course you’re not!” Aniya nang makita rin niya ang dalawa sa ‘di kalayuan. “Come here...” She extended her arms so I can hug her.

   Bigla akong humagulgol nang mayakap ko na siya. I couldn’t imagine my life without a warm friend like Shanley and Crizelle, I’m so grateful for all my friends.

   “You deserve better, Chen. Cry it all out, nandito lang ako...” Aniya. Her words were so comforting that later on my tears starts to dry up and I got tired of crying.

  Nang humiwalay ako sa yakap ay tinulungan niya akong punasan ang mga natitirang luha ko sa mukha at mata ko.

   “Okay ka na niyan ah? Fix yourself na nga, you look haggard na e!” Sabi niya. My mood change as fast as the speed of light.

   “Really? Do I look haggard na?” I asked again.

   She chuckled. “Of course not! You’re gorgeous as always! Slay Ice Queen!” She said.

   I can totally say, she can make me feel bad but never fails to make me smile, especially now.

   “Thanks, you’re the best!” Sabi ko sakanya.

   “Yow girls!” Napatingin kami sa direksyon ng pinanggalingan ng boses. It was Hanse, “Chen, you’re here as well?”

   We got close and hugged each other for a moment.

   “What brings you both here?” I asked them. It seems like they both went here together.

   “Just went together with my parents to visit the Empress, nagkita lang kami ni Shanley.” Hanse explained.

   “Kayong dalawa talaga...” Imbes na matawa ay nangunot ang noo ni Hanse.

   I was expecting him to ask. “You cried?”

   I couldn’t deny it. It was totally obvious though, so I nodded.

   “Teka... inaway ka ba ni Shanley?” Tanong ni Hanse na ikinatawa ko ng kaunti. Umiling-iling ako.

    “Hoy! Hindi ah... si ano kaya—” Pinutol ko na ang sasabihin ni Shanley.

    “—na miss ko lang kayo, that’s it.” Sabi ko.

    He wasn’t convinced, of course.

    He also looked around and wasn’t surprised to see Zyro with Yllani. They were also on their way here.

    “Kaya pala...” Aniya at natawa. Inirapan ko lang siya. Sinenyasan ko lang siya na tumahimik muna.

    Nang papalapit na ang dalawa ay ngumiti ako ng hindi naman matamis ngunit hindi naman peke. Looking at his face makes my heart feel at ease.

   “I can see that you guys are having fun? Ano bang pinag-uusapan niyo?” Zyro asked. Omg, his voice made the ice in my heart melt again.

   “Kayo...” Pinandilatan ko ng mata si Hanse at siniko ito.

    “Ahh hehe! Ang ibig niyang sabihin is that... kayo! Anong pinag-uusapan niyo doon, bakit parang ang saya niyo?” My voice starts from high to low tone. I feel cold and my voice feels like cracking.

    Zyro and Yllani both looked at each other for a moment as if they were talking in their minds. Yllani rolled her eyes at Zyro. How could she?

   “He was teasing me. By the way, what brought you here?” Yllani asked.

    None of your business.

    “It is my obligation to know, Princess Rhichemia.” They all looked at me.

    “Can you please stop reading my mind? I have no privacy anymore!” I said.

   (“It’s not my fault if you can’t close your mind for outsiders.”)

    I rolled my eyes when I heard her voice in my head.

   “Chen? Calm down, okay?”

   I have ice magic, pero bakit umiinit ang ulo ko kapag kaharap ko siya?

   I calmed myself.
