"'toru, i promise i'm feeling better." 

"i don't believe you, now shoo go back home." 

"..." 

"rest for another day. you've been working too hard these days." 

with a sign, y/n begrudgingly nodded. megumi was beside her, his hands secured around her pinky. he looked at his mom and then at satoru. his thoughts spiralling as he made sense of satoru's words. is mama going back home? i don't want her to go back home. 

"megumi-kyun, you can follow your mom home." 
satoru gave a sly wink at megumi whose eyes brightened instantaneously. he would get to spend precious time with y/n without his father around. excited, megumi tightened his grip around y/n's pinky and swung it around. 

"mama up." 
megumi said with his hands raised. sweetly smiling, y/n picked up the boy with ease, kissing his cheeks and then his little nose. 

"you're just the cutest." 
y/n pressed another kiss on his forehead, cooing at megumi who melted at his mother's touch. satoru watched the scene displayed in front of him. he praised himself internally for getting y/n to work with him at the daycare. 

she had finally found solace. the beautiful bond between her and the shy boy in the daycare was simply perfect in satoru's opinion. 

"now, now shoo, the other kids are gonna be here." 
satoru pushed y/n out and waved goodbye to her and her kid. 

"is there anything you'd like to do today, gumi?" 
y/n asked, slowly walking along the pavement. the weather was perfect. light breeze pushing her hair out of her face. brown leaves crunching as her feet made contact on the ground. streetlight still illuminated as the sun rose slowly. it would be soon before they turned off. y/n relished the silent moment. 

"mmm sleep... and eat nuggets and... and.. i don't know." 
megumi replied, seemingly in deep thought. y/n pondered for a while on what she could do with megumi for the whole day. it would get chilly in the afternoon and y/n didn't want megumi to catch a cold so something indoors would be nice. 

"do you want to go to the aquarium?" 
y/n asked, it was a mere suggestion. she knew that megumi was a fan of animals so it was worth a shot. immediately, megumi nodded enthusiastically. 

"i wanna see patrick."
megumi innocently mumbled. y/n smiled at his reply. he's so adorable. y/n thought, gently placing a kiss on his head. 

 "let's take a nap and then we'll get food and then go to the aquarium." 
the ravenette nodded and looked up. his head tilted upwards as he raised his hands, squishing y/n's cheeks. 

y/n looked down at the boy with the most beautiful smile in the world. 

right then, megumi kissed y/n's chin. he had missed his target which was her lips but that was alright. 

"oh my god, i'm seriously going to combust. you're an angel, megumi. a literal angel." 
megumi didn't exactly understand y/n's words and hugged y/n warmly. 

the nap ended up being 3 hours long and y/n ended up having a late brunch with megumi. him feasting on his nuggets while y/n ate (food of choice). y/n had taken a photo of her brunch with megumi and sent it to toji who was working.
