Heart beats fast

Colours and promises

How to be brave?

How can I love when I'm afraid to fall?

But watching you stand alone

All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehowOne step closer

I have died every day waiting for you

Darling, don't be afraid

I have loved you for a thousand years

I'll love you for a thousand more

I cover my mouth to stop the sob as I nod yes.

Zach pulls at my arm and puts the ring on my finger before he stands up and connects his lips to mine.

When we finally pull apart, I can't help but laugh, a mixture of joy and disbelief bubbling up. "I can't believe this is real," I whisper, looking down at the ring glittering on my finger.

Zach grins, his eyes shining with happiness. "It's real, all right," he says, pulling me into a hug. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

He takes my hand and leads me to a table that has been placed on the balcony. Candles are lit, casting a warm, flickering glow around us, and the table is set in the centre of a heart made of rose petals.

"Wow, Zach, this is beautiful," I say, feeling tears of joy welling up again. "You really thought of everything."

He smiles, pulling out a chair for me. "Only the best for my love," he says, his voice full of love and sincerity.

As I sit down, I take a moment to take in the scene. The city lights twinkle, and the stars above seem to shine a little brighter tonight. It's perfect—more than I could have ever dreamed of.

Zach disappears inside and returns with two plates filled with food and a bottle of wine tucked under his arm.

I look down at the plates and see a beautiful meal—steak, roasted vegetables, and a side of creamy mashed potatoes. My stomach growls in response, and I can't help but laugh. "You really did think of everything," I say, feeling another rush of love for him.

He opens the bottle of wine and pours us each a glass, the rich, ruby liquid catching the candlelight. He winks, his eyes twinkling with joy as he raises his glass for a toast.

I clink my glass with his.

"To love, laughter, and a lifetime of happiness," Zach says softly.

"To us," I echo, my gaze never leaving his.

After we've finished eating, Zach takes my hand again, his touch warm and reassuring. "There's one more surprise, babe," he says, his voice low and excited. He leads me to the edge of the balcony, where a small stereo sits. He presses play, and a soft melody fills the air.

"May I have this dance?" he asks, bowing slightly with a mischievous grin.

I nod, my heart overflowing with happiness, and step into his arms. I run my hands over his arms and suddenly realise, for the first time tonight that his cast is gone.

"Oh my god, the cast is gone," I gasp, clutching at his arm in surprise.

He laughs, a warm and genuine sound. "Yeah, I booked an appointment with the doctor to have it removed," he says, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "I still have to wear the sling, but not tonight."

I can't help but smile, feeling a bit overwhelmed. "You did all this, even with your arm still healing?"

He nods, his expression softening. "Nothing was going to stop me from making this night special for you," he says, pulling me closer and kissing my lips.

We stand there for a moment, wrapped in each other's arms, swaying to the music.

"I love you, Zach," I say, my voice filled with emotion.

"I love you," he replies, his voice equally tender. "Now, let's enjoy the rest of our night."

We return to our seats and as we sip our wine and talk, I can't help but feel incredibly lucky. This moment, this man, our future together—it all feels like a dream come true.

I open my eyes and pull the blanket over my chest. I turn my head and watch Zach sleeping peacefully beside me, his chest rising and falling with each breath.

My fiancé.

The thought fills me with a surge of happiness. I reach out and gently brush a strand of hair from his forehead, my heart swelling with love as I take in the familiar contours of his face. Even in sleep, he looks content, a slight smile playing on his lips.

I lean closer and kiss his lips softly. He groans, grabs my leg and gently drapes it over his waist, drawing me into him. Our bodies press together, and I can feel the warmth of his skin on mine. His hand moves to my back, tracing soothing circles that send shivers down my spine before his hand touches my ass, pulling me even more close.

"Good morning," I whisper against his lips, my voice barely audible.

"Good morning," he replies, his eyes dark with want as he looks at me. "You have no idea how much I love waking up with you."

I smile, my heart swelling with emotion. "I think I have a pretty good idea," I tease, running my fingers through his hair and rolling my hips into his, feeling his erection.

He chuckles softly, the sound vibrating through his chest, before he groans when I continue the movement. He cups my chin, moving his thumb to my lower lip before his lips are on mine, tongue to tongue.

I moan when he flips us over, grabs the blanket, and roughly pulls it away from our bodies. He sits back and stares at me and his eyes darken as his eyes move over my naked body. He leans down, lips to my neck, kissing and sucking and I sigh.

"I love you," Zach whispers close to my ear as I feel him between my legs.

"I love you," I say, and pull his face to mine, wanting his eyes on mine as he enters me.

I gasp, as he rolls his hip in a circular motion.

"You feel so good," he groans, biting my earlobe making me moan in desire.

He changes positions, filling me even more. His hand skim over my breasts before squeezing my nipple and quickening his thrusts.

"Zach," I gasp as sensation builds in my stomach.

"Yeah," he grabs my hips, the sound of our bodies meeting filling the room. "Say my name," he demands with a groan.

"Zach," I moan. "Oh."

I scream at the same time he releases an animalistic growl before he collapses on top of me, our bodies still connected.

"I love you," I tell him, feeling his lips on my neck.

"I love you," he kisses my neck once more before grabbing the blanket and covering our bodies.
