"today is boot day, my favorite day" i said to lopez. "it sure is, so what do you think you'll rookie will be like" angela said. "probably an annoying teachers pet" i said "oh come on don't think like that" angela nudged me. i walked away heading into roll call

grey says his normal morning greeting "settle down, settle down" i notice the rookies at the front two men and one women, i observe them one is west kids, the other one looks too old to be here, and the women she's pretty but a rookie.

"so we have some fresh meat, please stand up" grey said. they all stood up looking scared, except one wests kid i'm hoping i get paired with him. "so officer nolan, do you really think you can be here" grey said "yes sir" nolan replied. grey looked upset that a man around the same age as him is a rookie, which makes sense he shouldn't be here. "okay so time for tim's favorite game" grey said, i smirked " who will get nolan... harper!" i looked at harper and started to laugh, she elbowed me. nolan looks back at her, smiling and the smile gets wiped. "our hot shot who broke all his dads records in the academy west, your to is lopez" grey said. he looks back at her, lopez whispers "guess you have the girl, you think she's a teachers pet?" i rolled my eyes and didn't say anything "so bradford you have chen, okay everyone good luck today" grey said. chen looks back at my she's even prettier than i thought.

"okay boot this is your shop, you never call it a car! this is where you'll spend 8 hours of your day every day" i said, she nodded. "why did you want to become i cop" i said "well my parents put me in therapy when i was 10" lucy said. while thinking to myself i was wondering why she got put into therapy so young. she starts to speak i slam on the breaks yelling "IVE BEEN SHOT WHERE ARE YOU BOOT?" she looks around nervously not knowing where she is "IM BLEEDING OUT AND YOU NEED TO CALL FOR HELP WHERE ARE WE?" i yelled, she doesn't know. i scolded her about why she needs to know where we are at all times.

"7-adam-19 shots fired at 7647 ocean lane, believed to be a domestic violence case" we heard over the radio, we rush over to the scene. it was quiet when we arrived but as soon as we got to the door we heard screaming "LAPD open up!" lucy yelled banging on the door, nothing everything went silent. i kick the door down, the scene was shocking. "lucy go check on the wife" i said. she bent down checking the wife's pulse "she has a pulse but it's very weak, gsw to the left leg and left shoulder." she said over the radio. i walked over to the wife "lucy go check on the husband" i said taking over care for the wife. she walks over there and kicks the gun away from the man. i looked away as she went to take his pulse all the sudden i heard a bang to the ground. he has lucy pinned down she's fighting back. i run over to her and got him off and into cuffs "are you okay?" i said "yeah i'm fine" she said gasping for air.

the paramedics arrived in scene same with the detectives. the paramedics take the wife away and have lucy checked out. "i'm fine this isn't necessary" lucy said, she sounded annoyed. i walked over to the ambulance and ask if we are good to leave "make sure she drinks water and doesn't sleep for at least another 5 hours." the paramedic said to me, we walked to the shop. "is there someone who could stay with you for the night?" i said "no but it's fine i don't need anyone to babysit me it's not the firs-" she paused and went quiet, i looked over at her i could see the redness around her neck "what do you mean?" i said "it's nothing forget it" she said looking away from me fast. i drive back to the station the rest of the ride was quiet.
