Today I'm finishing up some stuff for homecoming.I got my dress and Jeilani got his suit. My parents haven't seen me in it yet. So might as well show them. "How do I look?" I ask. "Beautiful. Jeilani is going to love you." Daddy says. I hug him. "And I got you some red bottoms to match that dress too." Dad says.
I smile. We won the game that night and we arrived at the dance in my Uncle Kav's Lambo. Walking into the gym is a view. All eyes on us. "Alright young people. Tonight's homecoming king and queen is....... Jeilani Brown and Cassidy Beckham." our vice principal says as they crown us.
Nia and Calvin were smiling.
