The sunlight streaming through the window woke Jungkook up. He blinked, his eyes slowly adjusting to the light. His gaze darted around the room, searching for his boyfriend, Taehyung. Then, he heard a voice coming from the bathroom, "Oh, you're awake." Jungkook turned his head to see Taehyung emerging from the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist. Taehyung walked over to Jungkook's side of the bed, his expression a mix of concern and love.

"Jungkook, I'm still so sorry," Taehyung said, reaching out to gently stroke Jungkook's cheek. "Are you in pain?"

Jungkook felt the warmth of Taehyung's touch and immediately forgot about his sore back. "I'm okay," he whispered, closing his eyes as Taehyung's fingers traced circles on his cheekbone. "But I do want to brush my teeth."

Taehyung smiled, the corners of his eyes crinkling. "Of course," he said, helping Jungkook sit up a little. "I'll help you." He carefully placed Jungkook's feet on the floor, supporting him as he leaned against Taehyung's broad chest. Jungkook took a moment to breathe in the familiar scent of Taehyung's skin, the towel now loose around his waist. "There we go," Taehyung murmured, his breath tickling Jungkook's ear. "Let's get you to the bathroom."

Jungkook nodded, wincing slightly as he shifted his weight on his injured back. Taehyung wrapped an arm around his waist, supporting him as they walked side by side towards the bathroom.

Jungkook leaned into Taehyung, his cheek resting on the crook of his neck. "I love you tae hyungie" he said softly. "I am just happy we're together, and we'll get through this. Together." They reached the bathroom, and Taehyung carefully lowered Jungkook onto the toilet seat. "I'll be right outside," he said, giving Jungkook's shoulder a reassuring squeeze.

Jungkook nodded, reaching for his toothbrush and toothpaste. As he began to brush his teeth, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over him. It wasn't just the pain that had been bothering him; it was the issues between them. Now, with Taehyung's support and understanding, he felt lighter, more at peace. When he was done, he called out, "I'm done!"

Taehyung poked his head around the door, a small smile playing on his lips. "You ready for breakfast?" he asked, holding up a plate of steaming pancakes. Jungkook grinned, feeling his stomach rumble. "That looks amazing," he said, a new sense of hope and happiness welling up inside him. "Let's eat."

As they sat down at the kitchen table, Taehyung carefully placed the plate of pancakes in front of Jungkook. He then took a seat across from him, watching as Jungkook picked up his fork. "Do you want some maple syrup?" Taehyung asked, reaching for the small bottle on the table.

Jungkook nodded, already digging into the fluffy pancakes. The sweetness of the syrup mingled with the warmth in his stomach, and for a moment, he felt as if everything was going to be alright. He looked up at Taehyung, who was watching him intently. "They're delicious," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Thank you."

Outside, the sun began to rise, casting a warm glow through the bedroom window. The air felt different, lighter somehow. They finished their breakfast in silence, but it was a comfortable silence, filled with understanding and affection. When they were both done, Taehyung cleared away the dishes and told to maid to take them to the kitchen.

As he turned back around, he saw Jungkook lying on the bed, watching him with those big, soulful eyes.

Taehyung's heart skipped a beat. "What do you say we take a nap together?" he asked, walking back over to the bed. "Just to relax and catch up on some sleep?" Jungkook nodded, wrapping his arms around Taehyung's waist as he climbed onto the bed. "That sounds nice," he murmured, snuggling in close.

Taehyung smiled, feeling a sense of calm wash over him. He lay down beside Jungkook, their bodies pressed together. The warmth of their skin, the rhythm of their breathing, everything felt so right. He wanted to stay like this forever, just lost in the peacefulness of this moment.

He glanced over at Jungkook, who was already starting to drift off to sleep. The morning sun streamed through the window, casting a soft glow over his features. Taehyung couldn't help but marvel at how beautiful his boyfriend was. He brushed a stray strand of hair away from Jungkook's face, and as he did, a contented sigh escaped his lips.

It was in this peaceful, post-prandial haze that the sound of a soft knock at the door cut through the stillness. Taehyung, stirred slightly, rolling over to face the door. He took a deep breath, bracing himself for whatever the day might bring, before calling out, "Come in."

The door creaked open, revealing the nervous-looking figure of an informant. "Your majesty," the informant began, bowing low, "will you come to the court today?" Taehyung sighed, glancing over at his boyfriend, Jungkook, who was still fast asleep in his embrace. He reached out a hand to ruffle Jungkook's hair gently, eliciting a small grunt from the smaller figure.

"No," he replied, his voice gentle but firm. "Not today. Today, I will be with my boyfriend, and we will take care of each other." He paused, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as he took in the adorable sight before him. Jungkook, with his tiny, grabby hands, was now sitting up in bed, looking up at Taehyung with big, puppy doe eyes. "Kissie, kookie needs kissie hyungie," he whined cutely.

Taehyung couldn't help but laugh, leaning in to plant a noisy smack on Jungkook's cheek. "You're such a brat," he teased, pulling the smaller figure into a tight hug. "But you're my brat, and I love you." Jungkook giggled, wrapping his arms around Taehyung's neck, nuzzling his face into his neck. They stayed like that for a moment, content in the simple joy of being together, oblivious to the world outside the door.

As they lay there together, Taehyung couldn't help but wonder what the future held for them. Would they be able to overcome the obstacles that were sure to come their way? Would they be able to make a life together, surrounded by love and support? For now, though, all that mattered was this moment, right here, with Jungkook in his arms.

He felt a small weight settle on his chest, and looked down to see Jungkook's hand had found its way to rest on his heart. The gesture was so sweet, so intimate, that Taehyung found it difficult to speak. Instead, he pressed their foreheads together, closing his eyes and letting himself sink deeper into the embrace. They were going to be okay, he promised himself. They would find a way.
