"Taehyung," Queen began, her voice firm but weary, "I have tried to understand your feelings for this boy. I know that he brings out a side of you that no one else does. But you must realize that what you have is not acceptable. Not in our kingdom." Her gaze shifted to Jungkook, and for a moment, there was an unspoken understanding between them.

Jungkook walked up to taehyung and looked in his eyes, his face flushed with anger. The air between them crackled with tension as they stood there, their bodies almost touching. Taehyung could feel the heat emanating from Jungkook's skin and it made him shiver. He wanted nothing more than to reach out and touch him, to feel the warmth of his hands on his own skin.

"It's enough, Tae," he whispered. Then, as if a switch had been flicked inside of him, Taehyung's anger seemed to dissipate. His eyes softened, and a small, almost  smile curved his lips

Jungkook felt a wave of relief wash over him as he saw the anger fade from Taehyung's eyes. He took a deep breath and smiled back at him, squeezing Jungkook's hand gently. "Only if you say," he agreed, his voice barely above a whisper.

They stood there for a moment, lost in each other's gaze, before Queen, taehyung's mother, cleared her throat. "Taehyung," she said, her voice firm but gentle. "I know Jungkook is your friend, but will you do anything for him?"

Taehyung looked at his mother, love and loyalty warring in his eyes. He knew she was only looking out for him, trying to protect him from potential hurt or disappointment. But there was no doubt in his mind who he belonged to. "Yes," he said, his voice steady despite the emotion welling up inside him. "I will do anything for him."

His mother raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised by his answer. But before she could say anything else, Taehyung leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to Jungkook's lips. "Because," he whispered, "he's not just my friend. He's my boyfriend."

Jungkook smiled, his eyes bright with love and relief. "And I'll do anything for you too, Tae," he promised, wrapping his arms around Taehyung and pulling him close. They stood there, lost in each other's embrace, as the world around them faded away, leaving only the two of them and their love.

The Queen, regal and commanding despite her advanced age, pointed an accusatory finger at the two of them. "I will never accept this relationship," she spat. Taehyung looked at her with a steely determination that belied his youthful features. He held Jungkook's hand even tighter, refusing to let go.

"That sounds like a you problem," Taehyung replied, his voice steady and unafraid. The Queen's face flushed with anger, her eyes narrowing. "I am the Queen, your mother," she hissed. "You will listen to me."

Taehyung looked back at her, his expression unwavering. "And I am the King," he countered. "I have more authority than you." The Queen's nostrils flared, her anger evident in every breath. "I regret making you the King," she snarled.

But Taehyung only smiled, a small, confident smile that seemed to hint at both confirmation and resolve. "Well, now I am the King," he said quietly, "and you cannot do anything about it. Jeon Jungkook is the love of my life."

Sehun couldn't resist the urge to provoke the situation further. Heconfronted the Queen and declared, "Your Highness, I have warned you about Kim Taehyung. He is a freaking traitor, under the spell of Jeon Jungkook. He cannot be trusted.

"Kim Taehyung, clenched his jaw in anger at the baseless accusation. Without a moment's hesitation, he raised his sword towards Sehun's chin and warned, "Do not dare speak ill of me or my Jungkook, Sehun. I am loyal to my Kingdom but I will also not tolerate any slander or accusations against Jungkook".

"Sehun's pride was wounded, and he tried to retaliate by raising his own sword. However, before he could make a move, Jungkook, intervened. Despite his weary and injured state, Jungkook limped forward and placed his sword at Sehun's neck, his eyes burning with determination.

"Dare you even attempt to attack my King," Jungkook growled, "I will defend him with my life,

Queen  lifted her scepter and declared, "The court is dismissed!" The nobles bowed and began to exit the hall, whispering amongst themselves.'

As Taehyung stood by the side, he shot a glare towards Sehun ,Taehyung swiftly moved towards Jungkook. Without hesitation, Taehyung gently lifted Jungkook into his arms, holding him close to his chest. Jungkook winced in pain but found solace in Taehyung's protective embrace. The courtiers parted ways to make a path for Taehyung as he walked out of the hall, his eyes never leaving Sehun's.

They finally reached Taehyung's room, and he gently lowered Jungkook onto the bed. The room was decorated in warm, earthy tones, with a large window that overlooked the lush gardens outside. A fireplace crackled softly in the corner, adding a cozy ambiance to the space. Jungkook winced as he tried to move, and Taehyung immediately knelt beside him, taking his hand.

Jungkook groaned, clenching his fists as he struggled to breathe through the pain. His back arched, and his teeth ground together, but he refused to make a sound. He was not going to give Taehyung the pain of hearing him cry out.

It was then that he felt it. The warm, wetness of Taehyung's tears on his skin. He turned his head slightly to the side, opening his eyes to see Taehyung's face contorted in agony, tears streaming down his cheeks. "I'm sorry, Jungkook-ah," Taehyung sobbed, his voice cracking. "My love, my life... I couldn't protect you."

Jungkook reached out a trembling hand to wipe the tears from Taehyung's face, but the movement sent a sharp pain coursing through his back. He winced and tried to hide the wince from Taehyung. "Shhh... it's okay, Tae. We'll get through this together," he whispered, his voice barely audible even to his own ears. He forced a reassuring smile, but it came out more like a grimace.

Taehyung sniffled and wiped his nose on his sleeve before reaching around Jungkook to feel the wounds on his back. His fingers traced over the raised, angry welts, feeling the warmth and stickiness of Jungkook's blood. He let out a shaky breath and reached for the ointment they kept for moments like these. "Here," he said, his voice barely more than a whisper. "Let me put some ointment on that."

Jungkook nodded, bracing himself for the sting of the cool gel. But as Taehyung began to apply it, he realized that there were far more wounds than he had expected. "Hyungie..." he gasped. "There are so many..." He couldn't finish the thought. He knew that Taehyung was just as shocked as he was.

Taehyung's hands trembled as he carefully dabbed at each wound, his eyes never leaving Jungkook's face. "I'm sorry, Jeongguk-ah. I'm so sorry. I should have protected you." He couldn't help but break down again, tears streaming down his face. "I should have been stronger. I should have known they would do this."

Jungkook reached up, wiping away Taehyung's tears with his own bloodied hand. "Shh... it's not your fault, Tae. They're just trying to hurt us. They're not going to win." He forced a weak smile, trying to reassure his boyfriend. "We're going to get through this together, okay? We'll find a way."

Taehyung sniffled and nodded, but he didn't look convinced. Finally, after what felt like hours, Taehyung finished applying the ointment. He reached for a clean cloth to wipe away the excess gel from Jungkook's back, careful not to hurt him any more than he already had. "There, that should help with the stinging," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "Let me know if it's still too uncomfortable."

Jungkook nodded, biting back a groan as he tried to sit up a little straighter. The movement sent fresh waves of pain through his body, but he forced himself to stay upright. He looked at Taehyung, wanting to reassure him, wanting to make him believe that everything would be okay.

Taehyung's tears streamed down his cheeks as he repeated those haunting words, "I am a bad boyfriend, I didn't protect you, I should die." His voice cracked with emotion, his heart heavy with guilt. But before he could finish his sentence, Jungkook gently placed a finger on his lips to silence him.
"Don't ever say that again," Jungkook whispered, his eyes filled with a mix of concern and love.

In that moment, Jungkook closed the distance between them, pressing his lips against Taehyung's in a tender kiss. It was a silent promise, a reassurance that they would navigate life's challenges side by side. And as they held each other close, the echoes of doubt faded away, replaced by a newfound strength born from their bond.
