The day finally came and Emma was allowed to come home. Weighing three pounds and two ounces, her lungs were strong, her heart was beating and her parents were ready to raise her. JJ and Spencer had returned their apartment to the school and bought their own, JJ found a job as a babysitter in their new apartment and Spencer (while still playing poker on the Internet) began his research essay which got him a job at a science lab.

The nursery was a pale purple and pink, the crib was painted white with a matching dresser and change table.

Spencer and JJ arrived at the hospital early that morning with carrier. JJ was grinning Spencer's hand afraid to let go. They made it upstairs to the care unit and down the familiar white and yellow hallway. At their baby's crib was Karen and doctor Hibbs (the doctor) Karen was holding Emma who was sprouting blonde hair and was wide awake generally aware of her surrounding.

JJ let Spencer's hand go and slowly walked to her baby. "Everything is fine right? She gets to come home today?"

Karen smiled brightly. "Of course she is, we did the car seat test yesterday and she's fully transferred over to formula. She's ready JJ."

It had been a long and agonizing few months for all Emma, JJ, and Spencer. Emma needed to grown and mature so she could formally meet her parents, Spencer had to keep JJ from falling into a ball of misery, and JJ had a lot of adjusting to do Post partume depression slowly snuck in. As well as JJ had been in much pain not being able to breast feed after Emma was placed in the incubator.

Karen gently placed Emma into JJ's awaiting arms, the moment the child was in her mothers hands she instantly snuggled closer and cooed. "Look at her Spence." JJ whispered, "she's perfect.

Spencer nodded in agreement looking over his wife's shoulder. "I couldn't ask for more perfect family."

"And I don't think Emma could ask for more perfect parents." Karen cut in. "I'm truly glad up you two chose to keep her."

"We are too." Spencer replied with a wide grin. "There is an whole whack loud of people waiting for her back home."

As they walked through the door of their apartment they were nearly tackled my the group of people. "I wanna see her!" Penelope whined.

"In a sec Pen, Spencer needs to hold her." JJ said putting the carrier down, she undid the straps and pulled her daughter out, then she placed her in her husbands arms. Spencer face softened and he smiled brightly.

"I sweetie." He cooed, "I love you Emma." He whispered.

Seeing her daughter was safe JJ walked over to the couch away from the gaggle of people. JJ looked at her husband to see how happy he looked, if you asked JJ when she and Spencer first met if they were to get married she would probably of said yes. Why? Because it makes since to a three year old to marry your best friend. Even fourteen year old JJ knew she would marry him, but asking JJ in her senior year if Spencer Reid was the man of her dreams she would have laughed because you learn the difference between a boyfriend and I best friend. But here they were eighteen years old happily married, living together and raising their first child.
