that girl who sits alone in astronomy
wonders why we only have one moon.
while jupiter has sixty seven
saturn has twenty seven,
and her favorite, neptune has fourteen.
she often stares at you,
because your eyes resemble the blue of neptune.
you don't notice the bruises aligning her cheek,
the tear stained one.
the bruise on her arm that looks oh so bad.
she wonders why bad things happen to good people
because maybe you're struggling too.
and right now,she wants to erase her memories of yesterday,
because they remind her of you
