Disbelief.
That's the only way you could describe the trio's feelings at this very moment. They all stood frozen as they saw their sheriff bleeding out on the ground.
Y/N finally acted as he knelt down beside Peterkin. His hands were shaking as he tried to stop the bleeding, but tore a claw mark in her shirt. "Oh shit." He let out as he finally steadied his hands over the wound.
"John B, gimme your scarf!" He ordered, as his friend quickly made his way over and ripped the small clothing from his neck. Y/N held it tightly against Peterkin's shoulder.
"..call.."
Y/N looked down at her confused, not being able to make out what she had said. "..call for help.." Y/N acted quickly and took the radio her chest.
"Hey!" Y/N looked to his right and saw Rafe moving towards the two of them. "Don't try it asshole. Not so tough now huh?" He taunted Y/N. "Hey, you!" Ward got Y/N's attention. "Give me the radio."
"No."
"Give me the damn radio." He took it from Y/N's grasp, as the mutant focused on trying to stop the bleeding. Sarah sobbed loudly as Ward took the radio from the helpless sheriff's body.
"run.."
Y/N and John B both shook their heads. "We're not leaving you." The Routledge boy told her. He looked to his left and noticed Rafe and Ward were distracted.
"Run!.." Peterkin was ordering them to leave her. Neither wanted to, but they realised the danger they were in with Rafe and Ward right next to them with a gun. As much as Y/N fancied his chances in a fight with either of them, he couldn't do much against a gun.
"I'm sorry." They both told her, as Y/N let go of the scarf and they both stood up. Rafe immediately took notice, and pushed past his father. "Where're you going?!"
"Run!" Sarah told them, as they ran around to the other side of the plane, and took off through the long grass. Bullets flew past them as Rafe tried to stop the boys, but Ward managed to restrain him. The boys didn't stop running.
They dodged past trees as they headed back towards the town. They came out to the road, but failed to notice the car coming down it. Y/N got thrown to the floor and groaned loudly in pain.
"Oh shit Y/N!" John B shouted as he knelt beside him. He shrugged him off as he slowly stood up, using the car to steady himself. They both ignored the questions posed by the driver. Y/N started to run again, slowing himself down to allow John B to keep up. The my sprinted down the road, not exactly knowing what would happen now.

The two figured they knew where the others ran off to after Peterkin showed up, and turned the corner into the small shelter full of random trash. "Oh my God." Beca said as she walked towards them. Kie looked towards them and ran to Y/N. She threw her arms around him as she engulfed him in a hug. "Are you ok?"
JJ looked down at Y/N's hands. His fur and skin drenched in blood. "Is that yours?" Kie pulled back and looked at his red hands. "Y/N, who's blood is that?"
Y/N looked up at the sound of sirens, and ducked down behind a pile of wood and metal, with the rest following suit. "Ok." Beca started. "What the hell happened?!"

Rebecca pulled up to the police station, at John B and Y/N's request. They had explained what happened at the airstrip, and Kie hadn't left Y/N's side since. She held his hand and hugged him tight to her for the entire car ride.
