"Who do you think I am?"

Stella's lips pursed slightly, unhappy with the vague answers. "Someone important. Important to me." A redness creeped onto her cheeks, aware of the other stares in the room. "But we've never met." A pause. "Have we?"

Ominis weighed his options about how to move forward, but decided that it was for her to decide. He would help save her mother and give her the relic regardless of her answer. But he wanted to know if after he left this house tonight-if he'd be leaving with his princess or alone.

Hell, if she didn't want her memories back, then the relic had the perfect sacrifice.

"We have." He walked up to her, staring down at her with an expression that gave nothing away. Yet despite the occluding and blank expression, he felt like she could see right through him. "Your memories from the 19th century were taken away for safe keeping because the Unspeakables were going to destroy them. I have them. The choice is yours, if you want them back."

A little pout formed on her lips that he wanted to lean down and chase away with his lips. "Then I'll remember why... Why I was looking for you? Waiting for you?"

Ominis nodded once. "You will, princess."

The nickname reminded her of something. He could see it when her eyes darted to his. "Ominis. Your name is Ominis."

A smile formed on his lips. Determined little thing. Could she remember even without the gift of her memories? Did she love him that much?

He raised his wand. "Hold still."

She did so-Leaning into him slightly and looking perplexed. What emotions were running through her right now? The end of his wand placed gently against her temple. Ominis met her eyes with a tender expression. Regardless if Orpheus lost his wife just before leaving the Underworld, he was able to find her again in Elysium. They didn't spend forever apart even if it felt like it.

Ominis and Stella had found their way back together too.

This time, he wouldn't let her go.

This time, he'd fight every God and Devil, and move the Heavens and Hell to keep her by his side. Never again would he allow her to feel so alone and scared.

His lips formed the incantation; the cast of magic creating a bright flash of magic to blind the room. "Memento."

Chapter 82: Hello, Princess.

It felt like a fog had been lifted from her mind, but the flashbacks came back to her like a rainstorm. A torrential downpour of memories flooded behind her eyelids.

A low whistle rang through the air, sending a chill down her spine. "I'm not in the habit of chasing women." He waited for a moment, but when Stella said nothing, she heard a quiet chuckle. His voice changed, sounding lower. More menacing. The baritone of his voice making her cheeks warm. "Run, princess. Because when I catch you, I'm going to make sure you regret ever traveling to the past in the first place."

"You made soup." He drawled, before adding, "I don't care. I don't want any."
