Lucan's shift in subject pulled her back to present conversation. "Did you say Eden was able to get a sample of his blood? I don't recall learning a tracking spell using blood in training..."

"It's blood magic." Ominis said casually, "Very illegal, very good chance of a one way trip to Azkaban if you get caught using it. So be a good boy and don't tell anyone about this."

Stella felt a wave of uneasiness hit her.

Ominis wasn't above using any sort of magic if it meant winning a case. But she was a big believer in karma and fate. If he wasn't careful, then someone was going to catch wind of him using illegal magic. With Duncan and Garreth trying to find all the dirt possible on him, she was afraid that karma was going to find him very soon.

"Did it work?"

The aristocratic prat raised an eyebrow, "Did it work? I performed the magic. Of course it bloody worked."

He pulled out his wand and a dark emerald glow emitting from the tip of his wand. He brought up a map of the United Kingdom and from what she could see, there was a small circle as red as blood, and a blue snowflake that appeared to be near Hyde park.

Actually, not near Hyde Park, but exactly where they were all standing. A blue snowflake and a little green snake icon too.

"Ominis, what are these?"

His eyes glittered with amusement. "The snake? Eden."

"Then who's the snowflake?"

"You."

Stella glared, "You put a tracking spell on me? When?"

He nodded towards the Time Turner she kept hidden around her neck underneath her blouse, "When we first met."

Ominis, Stella decided, would get an earful about that later. But for now, she was more concerned about the red mark. If this was Jack the Ripper, he must have been floo-ing because every second that past, he was getting closer.

Closer until he appeared to be right outside the apartment.

And then there was a hasty knock on the door. "Gaunt. Open up. You're wanted in Whitehall for questioning."

It was Garreth.

Ominis watched with avid interest and a bit of disappointment as the red circle disappeared to the Greater London Area while the knocking at the door persisted. "What a pity. I was so hoping to kill Weasley."

Tobbs appeared looking over at the fair haired wizard, "Should Tobbs open the door, Master?"

He nodded once, the emerald glow of the map disappearing. "I'm tired of strays showing up at my house. You all need to find somewhere else to hang out."

An insult was on her tongue to say he didn't mind her presence last night. He must have seen her expression because he smirked and winked before glancing towards the entry way with a calm, blank expression.

Garreth walked in, wearing dark trousers and a beige overcoat. "You were supposed to be at the Ministry thirty minutes ago."

"Was I?" He drawled, taking a sip of his tea with the air of indifference caressing his features, "How will I ever live with myself?"
