"geto" feels unsettled.

ever since mahito had told him about his encounter with you, he feels as if he missed a piece in a puzzle.

a very very important piece.

he tells himself its just mahito probably having ptsd after his encounter with sukuna. that's the only answer. it has to be the only answer.

he'd been alive for centuries. there was no sorcerer who was as powerful as ryomen sukuna besides the owner of the six eyes and a few others who definitely werent you.

"the (l/n) clan.."

the afternoon sun hung high in the sky, casting a golden glow over the courtyard of jujutsu high. the intense training session you had just completed left you feeling drained yet exhilarated. as you made your way back to your quarters, your eyes caught sight of itadori sitting alone on a bench, his face buried in a book. intrigued, you decided to approach him.

"itadori," you called out, waving as you walked over. "what are you reading?"

he immediately tried to cover the jennifer lawrence magazine with another book before he looked up, his face breaking into a wide grin. "what's up (l/n)-sensei! this is a book gojo-sensei gave to me to help with my strategies, so im tryna read it all before getting hands-on, yknow?"

you smiled, taking a seat beside him. "you're quite the diligent student."

"yeah, i figured if i'm going to be fighting curses, i need to be the best i can be," he replied nervously.

you nodded in agreement. "that's a great mindset. but remember, it's not just about physical strength. you have to understand your own cursed energy and how to manipulate it effectively."

yuji's eyes lit up with curiosity. "can you teach me more about that? cursed manipulation is a basic kinda thing, but you make it so dangerous."

you felt a warm flush of pride at his compliment. "sure, but you'll hafta owe me a favor for this private lesson."

for the next hour, you and yuji worked together on different techniques, practicing stances and energy control. yuji was a quick learner, absorbing every piece of advice you gave him with enthusiasm and determination. the two of you moved fluidly through the training grounds, your movements synchronized as you demonstrated various techniques.

"yuu're doing great, yuji," you said, watching him execute a particularly difficult move with surprising finesse. "yust remember to keep your mind focused and your energy balanced."

he wiped the sweat from his brow and grinned at you. "thanks, (l/n)-san. i really appreciate your help. i feel like im getting better already!"

you smiled back, feeling a genuine connection forming between you. "for a kid, you're pretty talented."

his expression softened, and he looked at you with gratitude. "thanks. it means a lot to me, sensei. sometimes it's hard to keep up with everyone else, but knowing i have you and gojo sensei here to teach me, i feel more at ease."

you placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "we're all in this together, itadori. you're not alone."

as the afternoon turned to evening, you and the vessel continued to practice and talk, sharing stories and experiences. you told him about your training with your grandfather, the struggles you faced growing up, and the responsibility you felt as a member of your clan.

in return, he opened up about his own life, his grandfather's last words, and the weight he carried from harboring sukuna within him. you listened intently, offering support and understanding.

"you know," itadori began, his voice reflective, "sometimes i wonder what it would be like to live a normal life. i mean, i dont mind killing curses and all that, but sometimes i get scared of losing everyone i love."

you looked at him, the weight of his words settling over you like a heavy blanket. it was rare for itadori to voice his fears, and it made you realize just how young he still was, despite the extraordinary burdens he carried.

"yeah, i get that," you replied softly, "the life we lead... it's not easy. it's filled with so many fears and what-ifs . but you know, itadori, it's also filled with moments that make it all worth it."

itadori turned his head slightly, meeting your gaze. his eyes were wide, filled with a mixture of curiosity and vulnerability. "like what?"

"like right now," you said with a gentle smile. "sitting here, talking with you. it's moments like these that remind me why we fight so hard. we're protecting the people we care about, and we're building bonds that are stronger than any curse."

yuji smiled, a hint of sadness in his eyes. "yeah, youre right. i hope i can make my grandfather proud and protect as many people as i can."

"you already are," you reassured him. "every day, you make a difference. and that's something to be proud of."

the conversation drifted into lighter topics, laughter echoing through the courtyard as you shared amusing anecdotes and funny moments from your past. yuji's infectious energy and optimism were a balm to your soul, reminding you of the importance of friendship and camaraderie.

"do you ever miss your old life?" yuji asked suddenly, his gaze distant.

you took a moment to reflect before answering. "very rarely, but yes. though i think ive found a new purpose here. being a sorcerer isn't easy, but it's fulfilling. and having students like you make it worth it."

yuji's smile was warm and genuine. "i'm glad we met, sensei. you've taught me a lot, and i  feel stronger because of it."

as the evening deepened, casting long shadows across the courtyard, you realized just how much you had bonded with yuji. despite being so mature, he really is still a 15 year old boy.

as you both stood up to leave, yuji turned to you with a thoughtful expression. "sensei?"

"hm?"

"do you think we'll ever have a day when we don't have to fight curses anymore?"

you paused, considering his question. "i don't know, itadori. but i do know that as long as we have each other, we'll keep fighting for that day. and maybe, just maybe, we'll get there."

he smiled, a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "yeah, i think you're right."

with that, you walked back to the dorms together, the bond between you strengthened by shared struggles and mutual respect. and as you looked at yuji, you couldn't help but feel a little more protective after today's interaction with yuji.

the others may see him as a vessel, but in your eyes hes the little brother you've never had now.
