Chapter 6

Jamie

It felt like I was walking on eggshells when roaming around these halls. My heart was pounding while my hands were sweating while I slowly walked into the room that was begging me to turn around and run the other way. As I entered the room I was shocked to not see either of them at their desks or anywhere in the class.

5 minutes went by and I was still on edge, but class started in 2 minutes and they were not the type to be this late to class. Things didn't feel right and it was like something bad was coming. Class started and neither of them showed up and as I looked around the room a little less than half didn't come.

"Hm a small class today, I wonder where everyon-" Mr.M stopped his sentence as a loud group of people were cheering and yelling in the halls. People were confused and so was I.

The class got up and ran to see what the commotion was. My hand caught my mouth as a gasped escaped my lips. Three words, Jules, Alisa, fight. I could not believe that Jules would start a fight in school, perhaps outside of school grounds. she was never the type to cause scenes since he never liked getting attention. 

I just stood there as I saw them pushing each other against lockers and pulling strands of hair. A few of our friends were standing around encouraging our best friend to beat the shit out of the little rat. I wanted to feel delighted to see the person I hate the most get hurt, but my moral code was telling me this was wrong. Yes she did some horrible things to me, but this was not the way to fix things.

I saw Maddison near them as her brown eyes turned a shade darker as a pool of tears started to collect in her eyes. My body wanted me to go ver there and take her away from this, but I couldn't.

Joseph stepped in trying to pull Jules off from Alisa, she was on top of her while she started hitting her. Alisa was blocking her face with her arms as a shield. Joseph got in the middle of the two as they were both back on their feet.

"Stop! What the hell is wrong with you Jules, you never do these type of things." He stared at Jules in disbelief. Her brown hair was all messed up and so was the orange ones from Allie. They were out of breath and still anger.

"Your little friend came at me out of nowhere, she's a sicko!" Allie was frustrated as her hand movements were getting bigger.

"You're a liar and a fucking snake! You only care for yourself and your reputation, you don't care if others go down as long as you stay up!" Jules was talking about Allie and I of course, but the scene that was playing right in front of me didn't caught my eye. Maddison was standing confused as her hands were shaking while she wiped the tears away as to not roll down her cheeks. This was a lot of violence and yelling for her.

"Tell the damn truth, tell her what really happened! Enough of you trying to ruin other people's lives." Jules looked over at Maddison who was behind Alisa in the front of the crowd, many people started to clear out as teachers were ordering them to.

Alisa tried to go after Jules again but Joseph was there to hold her back. Zack, Kayla, Alisa, Joseph, Jules, Maddison, and I were the only ones there with Mr. M trying to get everyone to calm down.

"Break the news to Maddison you fucking asshole! Tell her how big of a liar you are!" She was unfazed as Alisa was yelling in her face.

"Do it or we will." Joseph kept pushing her away from Jules as he started into her eyes in annoyance.

I wasn't sure what to do, but all I knew was that everything needed to stop right this instance. "Guy's come o-" I was interrupted by a raging voice.

"Fine!" Alisa turned to face Maddison who was stilling shaking with her mouth covered, Kayla was there trying to comfort her as she looked at Alisa and wait for her response to everything.

"Guess what Maddison!? I fucking lied to you, Jamie didn't do shit to me, the things I said she did I was the one doing it to her. She deserved it though cause she's a lesbian and a weird stupid trann-" Alisa's sentence ended quick as Jules ran up behind her and jumped on her. This time Joseph didn't stop her, but Mr. M did.

Maddison looked at me in sorrow with her chocolate eyes which made all the tears that were building up pour over, I ran downstairs as Zack followed me and Joseph. I didn't know where to go so I ended up in the cafeteria.

"Don't. I don't wanna hear it.. Great Maddison knows i'm trans and a lesbian, freak times two. She was so upset, I won't be able to see her or do our project tomorrow." I sat at a random table as Zack and Joseph sat beside me on both sides.

Joseph held my left hand as Zack's left arm wrapped around my shoulder.

"I'm sorry this is happening, but to be fair Jules intentions were good. She just didn't do it the right way." My best friend was right, he was really smart and always did well in school.

"I know, I'm not mad at her. It's Maddison, i'm scared of how she'll react or think of everything." I leaned against Zack's shoulder as he tried to comfort me.

"Listen, we'll figure things out. You will too with Maddison, she's a reasonable person. Knowing her she'll talk to you when both of you are ready."

I wasn't in the mood to go to my last block so Joseph took me home. Apparently Jules got detention every Saturday for the rest of the school year, but she could not skip class while Alisa got suspended. 

As soon as I got home, I explained everything to my brother. It was a nice talk that lasted for a few minutes. I was really tired so I went to my room, when entering the door I heard a ping from my phone. It was a message, a text from Maddison.
