Maddison

After school I went straight home and poured my eyes out. I really wanted to text Jamie and explain everything to her, but I couldn't. I know I'm hurting her more than I have and it hurts me being away from her but I have to. Alisa is a piece of shit, and a demon in disguised as a human. Jamie deserves the world, someone better than me.

I didn't know what to do but I desperately needed help and guidance. I called the only friend I could trust and give me some insight on both ends, Zack. He was the only person I trusted right now, besides he knows both of us so any problems I have with my love I can ask Zack.

"Hey Zack, uhm I know this is some weird timing but do you think you could come over? I need some help." I was wiping away tears trying not to sound sad on the phone.

"Yea of course, I'll be there soon." We ended the call and soon after he came knocking on my door.

"Hey Zack, come in." He looked worried, guessing because my eyes were puffy.

"What happened, is everything alright?" He gave me a hug as we walked to my room.

"Please don't tell anyone about this, especially Jamie." He nodded with a confused expression painted on his face.

"Yesterday before school started Alisa texted me. She said if I didn't stop talking or seeing Jamie she would.. she'd tell and post to everyone about Jamie being trans, me being.. I don't know and that everyone in your friend group is... in her words a 'gay club that turns everyone gay'.." He looked at me with frustration and confusion.

*Flashback*

Alisa

Hey I heard u have been hanging with Jamie a lot recently

Why do u care?

Well

If you don't stop speaking to her or talking to her

I will ruin ur fucking life

Ill tell everyone how much of a freak she is

along with her freak friends

I can also tell ur parents that she turned u into a

freak as well

Fuck you Alisa

If u dont say anything to anyone ill stop speaking to her

Thats the deal

*End of flashback*

"That's why you avoided Jamie yesterday, cause that twerp doesn't know when to stop." He put his arm around me and rubbed my shoulder.

"Zack.. I really like Jamie. I love being around her and she makes me feel safe. She's so energetic and out-going that I always feel joyful when she's around. I don't want to lose her or hurt her more than I already have.." I was being genuine, I want her to be someone I'll always be excited to see, be there for me while I'm there for them, I want her to be my person

"Aww you really like and care for her. I promise we'll figure things out and don't worry Jamie still cares for you a lot. Alisa will get what she deserves." I smiled a bit, but I really missed Jamie and wished to explain everything to her.

Jamie

"Do you think she's just playing with my feelings?" I was on the couch with Sam and Alex talking about Maddison.

"I think when she said your kiss mean't something she was being genuine. There's probably more going on and she's trying to be honest with you without giving too much." Alex was really smart and always helpful.

"Maybe.." What if it was a lie and none of this had any impact on her. I should give her the benefit of the doubt, I trust what she said. Her actions spoke louder than her words. This is just a bump in the road, I'm certain we'll get past this.

Zack

After I chatted with Maddison I went straight to the source of everyones problem, Maddison's house. If she's causing this much trouble something must be going on with her, she usually distracts her own problems with causing others pain, pushing everyone away. I knocked on her door and waited until she opened the door, it took a few minutes until she let me in.

"Look who came crawling back to me, missed me." She went sat on the couch as she watched me enter the door.

"What are you doing..? Why are you creating problems? You know it's our last couple weeks of school and it's our senior year." She looked at me with a straight face.

"For fun, school isn't interesting with a little problems. You can't run from drama." She had a stupid grin showing on her face, she didn't care at all about anybody.

"Hypocrite. Notice that you're running from your own problems." I stood in front of her, between us was a low coffee table. Her smile was wiped from her face as soon as I stated the obvious.

"Nothing is going on with me if that's what you're insinuating. You're just trying to safe your friends asses." She folded her arms and put her legs on the table acting like she did something.

"Have you ever noticed how much of a denialist you are? I know you've been disappointed by the people who were supposed to be there when you needed them, but since you were born in a hateful house you think the whole world will be the same. It's not, there are people out there that will be by your side no matter what if you gave them a chance. You can fill the void of your pain with other peoples hurt." Her face softened and wasn't as cold as usual.

"You're wasting your time on this lame big speech, it won't change anything or how I feel." I started going towards the door and put my shoes on.

"I didn't give you the 'lame big speech' to just save my ass and my friends, but also because I was your friend at some point. I still care for you and want to help you with whatever is going on, but this isn't the way to solve things you know." I left the house and closed the door behind me, behind that door was Maddison sitting there with her thoughts.

I hate her actions, but as a person I can't. She's not the greatest person right now but nobody is far from help right? I hope this changed something because nobody, not anyone in this situation deserves whats happening to them.
