It was a message, a text from Maddison. This was really nerve-racking, what if she asked me to stop talking to her, delete her number, ask to switch project partners, or something worse.

She was being sweet and considerate, but I was still hurting. I also needed to pull my feelings away from hurt, the more I stick to her the more it'll break my heart.

I decided to respond later since I needed a breather. I went into the bathroom and I  turned the facet on while warm water filled the bathtub. Once I thought it was enough I took my clothes off and went in, I laid there for a good 20 minutes while Langyang Pag-Ibig by Ben&Ben played. This fight between Jules and Alisa reminded me of the one I had with Alisa.

*Flashback*

"Are you serious Jamie, you never told me this!" Alisa dragged me into a different room away from the party.

"I was going to I swear, it's just extremely personal." Earlier I was in the washroom taking a piss until Alisa walked in, as soon as she saw I had a dick she walked out.

"You're literally a freak! Nobody would want to hang out with me if they found out about you." She stood there with her arms crossed in outrage.

"I'm the same person Alisa, I know it's not what you expected but it doesn't change who I am in the inside." I tried to reassure her, but she stepped backwards like I had a disease. 

"I don't want to hear your excuse, it's probably a lie just like you." She left the room and me while I sat on the floor crying.

I heard someone knocking on the door which caused me to sit up quickly and wipe my eyes with my hands.

"Hey, uhm Jamie? I think we should get going." The door opened and it was Joseph, I was really confused but went with it since he asked. Something wasn't right, he seemed way off like he was scared of something and was ready for it.

As we walked out many people were looking at us, mostly at me. It was like I was walking with a big red arrow on top of me. Some people were whispering to one another while others gave me dirty looks. Alisa, she probably told some people and now it's spreading like a wild fire. 

The party started to boo at me and yelling out hurtful words like "Freak", "Mistake", "Loser", etc. None of them really made me feel things except for the ones that were targeted towards gay people. Joseph and I ran out the door and into his car as fast as we could. I stayed quiet the entire ride to my house, he tried to make me feel better but I couldn't pay attention to the words he said.

*End of flashback*

My thoughts of that memory was interrupted as I heard a knock on my door, a soft female voice was trying to get my attention.

"Jamie are you in there? It's uh me, Maddison."

 Fuck, how'd she find where I live and why is she here!? "Uh yea one sec, I'll be out in a bit." 

I got out of the tub, cleaned my self and dried my hair. I put some black boxers on with grey sweatpants on top and a light blue shirt. 

I came out of the bathroom to see her sitting in my desk chair, she looked really cute. She was wearing a red hoodie with blue jeans and her hair was put up with a claw clip. She usually wears contacts, but today she was wearing her glasses. She got up from my chair when she notice I came out, she gave a soft smile as she got closer.

"So why'd you come by? Isn't it kinda late, it's 9:30." My blue eyes stared deep into her brown ones. She sighed and looked down at the floor.

"Well uhm, I couldn't sleep knowing everything and the things I said to you." I sat on my bed as she walked so she was in front of me.

"I am really sorry that I didn't believe you, also you never deserved all the things she did to you. What she did was horrible and I couldn't imagine how you felt." She touched my hand which sent shocks of heat in my body, she took it and held it in hers. One hand on the palm of mine and her other hand was on the back side of my hand. She was extremely short compared to me, her head was the same height was mine when I sat down. If i'm being honest I thought our height difference was cute.

"I know I hurt you and I hope that with some time you could forgive me." Her teeth caught onto her bottom lip as she still stood there with my hand in hers. I desperately wanted to cup her cheek with my hand and pull her into a kiss, but it wasn't the right time or person.

"I forgive you." I gave her a forced smile which made her confused.

"How could you so quickly?" Her eyebrows furrowed together in confusion which was cute.

"Others may break my heart and I'd be torn up, but you? Break it over and over again or even into thousands of pieces, it was only yours to break anyways." In that moment my heart was racing and my palms were probably sweaty, but right now I couldn't take my eyes off of her.

"Uh w-what do you mean by that?" Her cheeks turned into a shade of light  pink, for someone who was quite bright she wasn't that smart at these kind of things.

"It's nothing." I smiled and got up, I looked down at her who had a bit of a upset look.

"Would you want to stay over? It's pretty late and dark to drive." I scratched the back of my neck which I would do sometimes when I got extremely nervous.

"Yea I'd love to, thanks." Her cute gummy smiled formed on her face and a small dimple showed on one cheek.

"You could sleep in my bed and i'll sleep on the couch." I gave her a pair of shorts and t-shirt for her to wear for the night.

"I don't mind sleeping with you." I turned to face her to make sure that she was certain.

"You sure?" She nodded and went into my bathroom to change.

My bed was pretty big so when we both go in I had my back facing her and stayed on one side of the bed. I was really nervous about sleeping next to her, but eventually I did fall asleep. I moved around in my sleep a lot, so I kept turning around. I woke up a bit in the middle of the night to Madi's arm being around around me as her head laid on the crook of my neck. My body moved on it's own and I put my arms around her as well.My heart was beating quiet fast, but good thing she was sound asleep and in my arms.
